Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base (CYYR), Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1955-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Goose Bay was a base of major importance. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also along with the recently released Ernest Harmon Air Base (CYJT) an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. Flight plans are provided for 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962, doing much to recreate this significant Cold War base as it really was; many of the aircraft which passed through Goose at that time are provided for.
This file is an update to the scenery issued in October 2021, made necessary by the discovery of new information as a result of further historical research. There have also been changes to the ADE and traffic files intended to improve the performance of both, and to the navaids too. Instructions are included for those installing from scratch and those updating our previous version, and there have been improvements to the clarity of the instructions for the downloading and installation of the ai aircraft.
There will be no further updates.

FS2004 Scenery - KMMV - Evergreen Museum. Located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, some 40 miles South of Portland, Oregon, McMinnville Municipal Airport (KMMV) serves McMinnville and Yamhill County and is owned by the City Of McMinnville, Oregon.
The airport is the home of the Cascade Soaring Club and Evergreen International, a global aviation services company. Adjacent to the airport is the new Evergreen Aviation Museum whose centerpiece is the famous "Spruce Goose".
This scenery includes a replica of the Museum and the new IMAX theater. Requires EZ Scenery Libraries. Installations included for default FS9 roads or for users who have USA Roads installed. FSX Scenery - This is an update of the McMinnville Municipal Airport (KMMV) designed by David "Opa" Marshall and myself a little less then 4 years ago for FS9. This is the scenery that features the Evergreen Aviation Museum across the road from the airport where Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose is on display. This file will make it compatible with FSX. File Description:
This is a NEW airport. The airport was opened in 2012. Akutan was previously served by amphibious airplane service to Akutan Seaplane Base, located on Akutan Island, however, in 2012 operator PenAir announced that they would retire their Grumman Goose aircraft and as a result the traditional airport on Akun Island was built to serve Akutan. The new airport is connected to Akutan by a hovercraft. Changes were made based on 2012 construction plans. Custom models have been added.

The "Tin Goose" was the first all metal multi-engined airplane built in the USA. The Ford 5-AT-C was a improved 5-AT-B "De-Luxe Club Model" with increased performance,

The Grumman G-44 (J4F) Widgeon, was the "little sister" of the Grumman Goose, built in 1940.
It was used as a small patrol and utility aircraft by the US Navy and the Royal Navy.
Military Operators of this little amphibian were Brazil, Portugal, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.
This repaint represents Portuguese Navy Widgeon 129.
Between 1947 and 1952 it was used in Mozambique by the Hidrographic mission.
