It bore the name 'Mountains o'Mourne - Belfast Telegraph Readers, as it was one of 15 Spitfires paid for by the readers of that newspaper.

This repaint is for the A2A Wings of Power III Spitfire MkIIa. Representing P7666. Flown by Sqn Ldr D Finlay, OC No 41 Sqn, November 1940. He shot down two Me109Es in November 1940. Later, the aircraft was passed to 54 Squadron where it was converted to a Mk. Vb on 22 February 1941, and was shot down by a Bf109 of JG51 on 20 April 1941.
