| Charles Darwin Voyage of the Beagle |
|
File Description:
On 27th of December, 1831 Charles Robert Darwin, born 1809, sailed from Devonport, England for a five-year voyage around the world on HMS Beagle and returned almost five years later on 2nd of October 1836. On 27th of December 1931 our journey begins in Devonport, near Plymouth in the Imperial Airways' Short S30 LR "Cabot" flying boat to follow this example. Since Charles Darwin also made many in-land journeys on the South American and Australian continents, the flying boat would be unpractical; instead we use the FS2004 default DC-3 for our continental VFR flights. Download and install Jens B. Kristensen's EMPIRE20.ZIP. The stage Cape Verde to Brazil requires Alexander Belov's scenery "Aeropostale Transatlantique" (A_ATLANT.ZIP). Also strongly recommended is Toni Agramont's sceneries ARGNTINA.ZIP plus CHILE_NO.ZIP plus CHILE_SO.ZIP.

| Imperial Airways - Genoa to Alexandria - 1931 |
|
File Description:
In 1931 Imperial Airways operated a revised timetable for their flying boat service between Genoa and Alexandria. The route was changed and instead of taking four days the journey-time was cut in half.
After departing Genoa in the morning of the first day, the aircraft made stops at Naples and Corfu before arriving in Athens for an overnight stay.
The next morning the machine (now a Short S.17 Kent or “Scipio” class) departed Athens after breakfast and only made one stop en-route Alexandra, and that was at Crete. Passengers arrived in Alexandria in the afternoon of the second day, a huge cut in time compared to the 1929 timetable. This flight represents the inaugural service of 16th. May 1931 and uses Jens Kristensen's Short S.17 "Scipio" flying boat.

| Ansett Flying Boat Services - Rose Bay to Hayman Island - 1962 |
|
File Description:
An historic Flight which utilises the Short Sandringham created by Jens Kristensen, this time in the 1970's livery of Ansett Flying Boat Services. A special set of textures has been created specifically for the Ansett version and is included with this package, together with instructions on its simple installation.
Ansett Flying Boat Services ran scheduled flights between Rose Bay and Hayman Island, in the Whitsunday Island area of Queenslands Great Barrier Reef.
These flights usually departed Rose Bay on a Sunday morning, with the trip taking about five-and-a-half hours. Holiday-makers arrived at their destination with a complete week ahead of them and returning passengers were back back in Sydney on Sunday evening, ready for work the next day!
Full installation instructions are included.

| Slick Airways DC-4 Repaint |
|
File Description:
Slick Airways DC-4
This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, May, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip.
Slick Airways was founded in San Antonio, Texas in January 1946 by Earl F. Slick. It began operations in March 1946 using ten Curtiss C-46s. Slick became a scheduled freight carrier in 1949. Slick nearly merged with the Flying Tiger Line in 1953 but the merger fell through. Slick provided transcontinental service and also flew contracts for the US military. But the airline failed financially and in 1966 Airlift International (Riddle) took over the assets of Slick.
Slick flew C46, DC4, DC6, L1049 and CL44 equipment.

| Landsberg-Airbase |
|
File Description:
This AI-Package contains several beautiful airplanes: Bell-UH1D, Hamburger
Flugzeugbau: C-160 Transall, Heinkel: He-111C, Lockheed: T-33A T-Bird,
Martin: B-26 Marauder, Nord Aviation: ND2501 Noratlas and last not least the
North American: Harvard Mk.41 T-6.
Most of these aircraft perform "Touch and Goes" in the local traffic pattern
at Landsberg-Airbase per attached flightplan and some C-160 Transall go IFR to
Hohn (ETNH, homebase of LTG63), Wunstorf (ETNW, homebase of LTG62), to Sarajewo
(LQSA) and Pristina (LYPR).
All the attached outstanding airplanes have been created by well known designers
(see briefing). My part was just to put them together and to generate an almost
reasonable AI-Flightplan.
