This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Grumman Mallard by Milton Shupe and LDR development. It shows Mallard J-11, NC2948 (TEXACO 64). Texaco operated this airplane from June 1948 to Sept. 1983 first as NC 2948 and later as N1628 along with 3 other Mallards from their base in Houma, Louisiana.
The other Mallards used were : J-30, NC3500/N1627 (TEXACO 61) 9/47 - 1/86; J-50, N1626 (TEXACO 90) 12/64 - 10/84 and J-51, N1629 (TEXACO 76) 3/54 - 1/86.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the white textures that came with the model

The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war.
First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. This extensive run makes it the second most-produced Western jet fighter, behind the famous F-86 Sabre at just under 10,000 examples.

A complete aircraft model, photoreal inside and outside, fully functional 2D panel and Dynamic VC, custom gauges and custom soundsuite, countless XML programmed goodies including droppable fuel tanks, automatic wing slats operation depending on speed and attitude, dynamic engine damage and flame-out simulation, authentic start-up procedure including fuel regulation and power cart, working guns with tracer bullets and muzzle flash effects, working ( or not working.... ) hydraulics system, parked mode with wheel chocks, fluttering RBF flags, in- and outlet covers, pilot flightgear on wing, etc., and so on.
This base package includes only two skin texture sets. Additional skin textures available with a seperate package 'sf86skns.zip', also available here. SECTIONF8 is a new FS add-on development team dedicated to produce almost every version and variant of the venerable F-86 Sabre including its seagoing sisters FJ-2, FJ-3, and FJ-4 Fury. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-20-NA 44-14789, as flown by Capt John B. England of Caruthersville, Missouri, who was the second highest scoring ace of the 357th FG, with 17.5 victories. He flew 108 missions without a break and was a major by december 1944, at 21 years old. He remained with the Air Force after the war, but was killed in a crash with a F-86 in France in 1954. England Air Force base in Louisiana was named in his honor.
