Version 1.2 -
This scenery lines up the Manchester AFCAD with the Horizon VFR scenery, although it can be used with the default scenery as well. It adds extra gates and taxiways to Manchester. The runway numbers are updated from FSX to their real world numbers 05L/23R and 05R/23L. All gates are coded to allow traffic to park in the correct places.
Update: Fixes problem with ATC only using runway 05 regardless of wind. Due to a limitation within FSX runway 23R is used for take off and 23L for landing, this is not the case in real life but can't be helped.

This updates the runways by adding the realistic changing of surfaces on Runway 24L's displaced threshold. It adds correct parking and Airline codes and updates parts of the taxiway layout. It is made using films, photographs and memory of the airport.

This is a very accurate rendition for Manchester airport and made only for FSX: Terminals 1, 2 and 3 completely rebuilt, airlines assigned to their terminals as per their website including Gate 12 allocated for the A380, PAPI moved to their correct positions for both runways, the mid turning circle for runway 5R/23L is now operational when there is a wind change from the SW and landings are on 23L, although designated up to a 767 max heavies will also use this as well, new control tower, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, both fire stations added with the fire service practice ground also included, many other scenery objects also added to further enhance this airport, airport views are from inside the new control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

File Description:
Includes: Ocean Sky ramp, ROMPA light aircraft park, TATON light aircraft park, Access to Western Maintenance, Re-designation of runways to current format (ILS etc. also changed to suit), Re-designation of taxiways, Frequency changes, Added some hold points (more in later version), Other general taxiway adjustments. The inspiration came from a recent VATSIM session from EGCC. I was flying my Tomahawk but had no scenery for TATON, ROMPA, or the Ocean Sky GA areas there. So I've used my real-world charts and Google Earth to add these three areas to the default AFCAD. Also note that the runways have been re-numbered to 23/05(L/R), and I have made the Western Maintenance area accessible. My other objective was to insert and change the taxiway designators, so many of these have been cleaned up and changed too. See Readme file for more details...enjoy!

File Description:
This has been upgraded to FSX by request. After a little scouting around, I have found an AFCAD conversion tool, and so will be releasing all my FS2004 AFCAD's with an UNSUPPORTED FSX version. It will remain unsupported because I have not actually got FSX, so I can do little to help. However, I will still do my best to help anyone who is truly stuck. Support will be available as soon as I make the move to FSX, which shouldn't be too long...I hope ;-D. This AFX file allows realism to take control at manchester !
Aircraft land on 23R and depart on 23R, due to a limitation in fsx it is not able to get AI aircraft to depart from 23L but you can depart from 23L
Also real airlines park at right terminals.
Also real frequencies as per real manchester operations.
Fully updated for re-numbered runways 05L/05R/23L/23R.
