Windward Farms Airport (4NJ0), NJ

File Description:
Located 02 miles NW of Rosemont, New Jersey, Windward Farms Airport is a private turf strip. Like most small private turf strips this one can prove to be slightly challenging when it comes to taking off and landing - especially in a crosswind. The runway threads between two separate stands of trees to either side, and 1/4 of the Runway 11 left side is hedged by small trees and bushes. While the published dimensions for this strip are 3500x150 feet, in reality the usable runway space is really 3000x100 feet due to vegetation. This airport as rendered in FSX does not have an actual runway surface, so when you land you will be landing on actual terrain. There isn't a noticeable slope but it can be bumpy so use caution! Edge lighting is provided for the runway, although night landings/takeoffs are not recommended. There are no services provided by this airfield. After landing why not taxi over to the hangar and feed the sheep grazing in the pasture? Herr Mountain Airport (5NJ2), NJ

File Description:
Located 02 miles N of Stanton, New Jersey, Herr Mountain Airport is a private turf strip. No aircraft are based here, so don't expect much except for ample room to land and take off again. There is a residence on the property, but no hangar or storage facilities. The runway is 2800x100 feet so not too hard to arrive and depart from. Approaching Runway 25 can be a slight challenge given that you need to level off your descent to cross over a mountain top before diving in to land. There is no hard surface runway, so you will be landing on terrain - be gentle! It's recommended to have your mesh complexity set as high as possible to get the full effect. The runway is not lit so daytime VFR operations only are allowed at this airport. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 001. Thomas Browne Airpark Airport (61NJ), NJ

File Description:
Located 02 miles W of Glassboro, New Jersey, Thomas Browne Airpark Airport is a private turf strip 2000��80 feet. There is no hard-surfaced runway, which means you will be landing on terrain so it is recommended you set your mesh resolution as high as possible. Watch out for trees and buildings alongside and at opposite ends of the runway. Crop fields are planted to the south of the runway and border the runway. You won't crash if you run into them but it certainly won't put you in good favor with the field owners! Take caution to avoid the transmission line towers as they are not lit at night! Neither is the runway, for that matter, so daytime VFR operations only are recommended for this airfield. Mount Pleasant Landing Strip Airport (67NJ), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles S of Hainesburg, New Jersey on 192 acres of land, Mount Pleasant Landing Strip Airport is a private turf field. The strip itself is 2100 feet in length over fairly level ground. There is no hard-surfaced grass runway in place, so setting your mesh to the highest resolution is recommended as you will be landing on bare terrain. Next to Runway 06 is a path through the trees you can taxi along to get to a hangar - although it is not available for transient aircraft and is closed. Collision with the trees along the path near the hangar and the static aircraft parked near it is disabled to make it easier to move through this relatively tight area. Immediately beyond the hangar is a clearing with ample room to turn around to taxi back out. You can also start parked in front of the hangar. The windsock is located a few feet west of the hangar and is not lit. The runway also has no edge lighting so daytime VFR operations only are recommended for this airfield. Fly-N-D Landing Strip Airport (92NJ), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles E of Kingwood Township, New Jersey on 121 acres of land, Fly-N-D Landing Strip Airport is a private turf field with a 2200' runway. There is no hard surface runway so setting your mesh as high as possible will lead to the best effects of landing on terrain. No transient storage or services are offered, and the airfield is not lit, so daytime VFR operations are recommended only.

Winchelsea Airport (8NJ0), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles W of Port Republic, New Jersey, Winchelsea Airport is a private turf strip. Pay very, very close attention to the published length of this grass runway: 980'. This is in addition to 50ft tree obstacles at either end of the runway. Double-check your aircraft's takeoff and landing distances before visiting this airfield!! A strong headwind is suggested for operations out of this location. Also take note the traffic patterns vary for each runway. There are no transient services offered and the airport is not lit at night so daytime VFR use only is suggested. There is no hard surface runway so set your terrain mesh slider as high as you can for the best effect of landing on terrain.

Southern Cross Airport (C01), NJ

File Description:
Located 03 miles SW of Williamstown, New Jersey on 18 acres of land, Southern Cross is a public turf airstrip with an ample 2400' runway. The runway is hard surfaced in order to allow for AI traffic to use this airport, however the end user must enable flights to arrive/depart from this airfield within their AI traffic program in order for AI to appear here. Tie down space is available north of Runway 09 and fuel is available at the tank next to the hangar. This airport is not lit at night so daytime VFR operations only are recommended. In addition to trees at the ends of both runways, power lines are strung up across there too. Stallone Airport (9NJ5), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles SE of Harrisonville, New Jersey, Stallone Airport is a private turf strip 1350' in length. However it should be noted that the actual length from the road to the trees on the opposite end of the runway is actually only around 900'. It is tightly hemmed in by trees so if you are landing on Runway 29 you may want to use Slew to turn your plane around to remove the risk of bumping into a tree instead. If you land on Runway 11 you can cross the road to turn around in the field opposite the runway. The windsock can be seen from both runways. Power lines run along the heights of the trees as well for the Runway 29 approach, on the same side as the trees though so not really any additional worry there. No transient services are available. There is no hard surface runway so make sure your terrain mesh slider is set as high as possible for a suitably bumpy ground experience. Stoe Creek Farm Airport (7NJ2), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles S of Canton, New Jersey, Stoe Creek Farm is a private turf field 1725' in length. The runway is largely clear of obstructions although on approach for Runway 05 you will deal with 20-30' trees a few hundred feet back from the threshold and there are transmission towers along the approach corridor to Runway 23 you should watch out for. The runway does have edge lighting, although the windsock is not lit at night and daytime VFR is still recommended. There are no services for transient craft at this airfield. Since you will be landing on terrain, it is recommended that your mesh complexity is set as high as possible. Coombs Airport (7NJ7), NJ

File Description:
Located 04 miles NE of Elmer, New Jersey, Coombs Airport is a private turf field 2000' in length wilth clear 20:1 approach and departure at each end of the runway. You'll find some surrounding buildings but they are all located several hundred yards from the runway. This is a good strip to keep in mind for emergencies if you're in the area. You will be landing on terrain so having your mesh complexity set as high as possible is recommended. This airport is not lit at night, daytime VFR operations only are suggested.
