PSA of San Diego, California, an intrastate carrier, operated several DC-4s, ex-Capital Airlines in the mid 1950s between the San Francisco Bay Area and southern California.

At least two aircraft were used in the film. This one represents the one in scenes taxiing and in flight without de-icing boots.
