File Description:
First Repaint in series of my repaints to Israeli's airplanes. This repaint of 4X-CWK for A2A Cessna 172. The real plane is operated by "moonair" fron LLHZ base airport. The real plane is also C172R model.
To install this aircraft manually, please copy the following text into your 'aircraft.cfg', inside the folder 'SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172'. Replace the X in [FLTSIM.X] by the next following number (like [FLTSIM.8]) and put the snippet after the last FLTSIM-object. Then you copy the complete texture folder into the same aircraft folder where you find the aircraft.cfg.

This is scenery of the Rothera Research Station and airstrip located on Adelaide Island in Antarctica. Rothera is the main base of the British Antarctic Survey and is populated by app. 100 scientists and support personnel in summer, while 22 hardy personnel remain on the base during the winter months. For the payware Lionheart Creations LJ24B, the MAC-L24B a fictional repaint for the Lear Jet 24B to represent the Lear Jet 35 - C-21A, used by the U.S. Air Force. From Wikipedia: "The Learjet Model 35 and Model 36 are a series of American multi-role business jets and military transport aircraft manufactured by Learjet. When used by the United States Air Force they carry the designation C-21A."

The airfield in Mestia was named after Queen Tamar, who ruled the country in the 12th and 13th centuries. In 2010, the airfield was completely rebuilt. Before there was only a grass track whereas today there is a paved runway (02/20) of 1,200m length. Due to the high mountains and narrow valleys the approach is considered particularly demanding. To make matters worse, the airfield has no navigation aids. So you are completely dependent on good visibility.
Since 2015 Vanilla Sky flies regularly to Natakhtari (near Tbilisi) and Kutaisi with a LET410. In 2017, more than 7,000 passengers were handled at Mestia Airport. A 70 percent increase over the previous year.
We tried to reproduce the airfield as realistically as possible in the simulator. What is made somewhat complicated is the fact that it is not always welcome to shoot photos and also generally there is not much information about the place. By default, the airfield in P3D / FSX is not included. Nevertheless, it has been possible to achieve a coherent image and to accurately represent the demanding approach.
