USAF Douglas VC-118 Independence

File Description:
USAF Douglas VC-118 INDEPENDENCE Tail-Nr. 46-0505, C/n 42881, of United States Air Force in colors of 1953 as preserved at United States Air Force Museum, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Dayton, Ohio, USA. USAAF officials ordered the 29th production DC-6 to be modified as a replacement for the aging VC-54C "Sacred Cow" Presidential aircraft and was nicknamed "Independence" for President Truman's hometown in Missouri. The VC-118 was formally commissioned into the AAF on July 4, 1947. Probably the plane's most historic flight occurred when it carried President Truman to Wake Island in October 1950 to discuss the Korean situation with Gen. Douglas MacArthur. File Description:
Modification of the panel.cfg file for Lago's Maddog2004. Now T-panel includes the most important primary flight instruments: Airspeed, IVSI/TCAS, Altitude, RMI and FMA indicators are visible and enlarged for more handy operation and flying. Just download the files and then go to FS9 folder, AIRCRAFTS/LAGO_MADDOG(or LAGO_MADDOG_VC)/PANEL, and replace the panel.cfg file.

File Description: This repaint shows the Vickers Viking in the livery of Belgian operator AVIAMEER. It was the sole airplane of that company. They were founded in October 1957 but had to cease operations already in the summer of 1960. AVIAMEER flew general charter flights and inclusive tours within Europe and the Middle East and had it's home base at the airport of Antwerp, Deurne.

MAAM TBM-3 VC-97

File Description:
FS9 repaint of the MAAM TBM-3 Avenger. It represents an aircarft from VC-97 as embarked on USS Massar Strait (CVE-91), February 1945. Repaint by Steve Bryant based on the TBM-3 of VT-17 (USS Hornet CV-12) original textures by Todd Disrud included in the MAAM Avenger package, and the paintkit by Jan Visser, which can be found on the Free Stuff page for the Avenger at www.maam.org.
