Display_Smoke_ Cntrl_ Gauge

File Description:
This simple gauge is for the Alphasim T6 Harvard/Texan airplane (airplane package required), design to stop the 3 display smoke effects from coming on when the lights are first turned on from the spot view mode. Since both the Harvard or Texan are not using the Taxi lights, this gauge works based on the state of the Taxi light bool. When you first turn on all lights via the "L" key from the keyboard, the on state of the Taxi lights in turn, turns off the 3 Display Smoke Switches, then after a 2 second delay the Taxi lights are reset to the off state again, ready for the next cycle of the keyboard "L" key. Just want to reiterate, this is not a auto display smoke gauge in the sense, this is an invisible gauge (no visual references) that just stops the 3 display smoke switches from being turned on with the lights, so you don't get that big ball of colored smoke around the airplane when in "spot view" mode, and you turn the lights on via the "L" key on the keyboard. Note: Has not been verified in FSX, but should work though!

Frontier Airlines Convair 580 v2

File Description:
This is an update of the great plane by Greg Pepper. Props now display the pitch visually - you can feather the props by pressing and holding Crtl-F2 and watch them rotate. Flaps deploy as proper Fowler flaps (i.e. slide back), and the flap/nacelle joint has been corrected to 45 degree angle. Air stair handrails now deploy realistically. Props have smooth curved edge, corrected right wing misalignment, pointed the rear fuselage, smoothed rear fuselage, and added view blocks in air intakes, prop spinners, main gear wells, and under stairs. Scissors links are added to the gear, the gear retraction cycle has been altered to match video footage, the nose has been slightly reshaped, antennas have been added, glass has been added to the cockpit, and the airstairs plate reads correctly from the back as well as the front. Nosewheel now steers with the rudder. Added reflective textures, and it is lit at night, albeit subtly, and the virtual cockpit gauges are lit. Altered Greg's original textures to match photos I had. Corrected blue textures showing on bottom fuselage. Greg has added a smoothed wing root too! Original model, animation, panel & textures by Greg Pepper. Modifications by Tom Gibson.

SIDSTAR for KJFK John F Kennedy Intl, New York

File Description:
SIDSTAR Procedure File for KJFK for Cycle 1204/1205 (05APR12-31MAY12) based on FAA National Data from National Flight Data Center, issued every 56d (Two Navigraph Cycles). These procedures include the following enhancements: All procedures are included as-published by the FAA and they are expanded to replace VECTORS with realistic route segments for use in a non-ATC environment (ie not using VATSIM or other service). All STARs include routing from the arrival to the final approach fix of the approach and all SIDs are expanded to include routing from the runway to the departure gate, except where noted in the file header. Each procedure file includes a text header that provides information on all the procedures for that location.

The KJFK procedure file includes all published SIDs plus routes to often filed departure gates such as BAYYS, BERGH, COATE, CUTOX DIXIE GAYEL LINND NEION and RBV. All published STARs are included and routes are provided to all ILS as well as GPS13L and Visual 22L. All published approaches are provided including two Charted Visual Approaches BELMONT VIS22L and PARKWAY VIS13L/R.

KORD - Chicago O'Hare - Chicago, USA - Runway 10C / 28C

File Description:
This is the second of my two KORD AFCADs, the first for FSX and this one for FS9. Both add the newly opened runway 10C-28C and change the old runway10-28 to runway10L-28R. In this one, as in the FSX version. I use completely default objects, so no additional downloads of scenery are required. All Taxiways have been correctly identified using ADE9X and taxiway signs placed to reflect the ground situation as of the 1311 AIRAC Cycle that ends Nov 14, 2013. I added RNAV and CATIII ILS/DME approaches for both Rwy 10C and Rwy 28C you can select in the default GPS. In the default FS9 file for KORD runway 32L, which still exists, is given as an ILS/DME approach using 108.95, the same frequency as the new runway 10C-28C. I could not delete the ILS/DME for 32L (cannot delete stock navaids in FS9). It interfered with the CAT III ILS/DME for 10C-28C, so I simply changed the ILS frequency for 32L to the same frequency as for 14R. Please note further that in the 1311 AIRNAV supplement for KORD there are no approaches listed for 32L, so I deleted all approaches for 32L, but the waypoints for those approches remain in place (since they are stock navaids and, hence, cannot be deleted).

SIDSTAR Procedure File for KATL

File Description:
PMDG SIDSTARS Cycle 1113-1201 (15DEC11-09FEB12) based on FAA National Data from National Flight Data Center, issued every 56d (Two Navigraph Cycles). These procedures include the following enhancements: All procedures are included as-published by the FAA and they are expanded to replace ATC-vectors with realistic route segments for use in a non-ATC environment (ie not using VATSIM or other service). All STARs include routing from the arrival to the final approach fix of the approach and all SIDs are expanded to include routing from the runway to the departure gate. RNP approaches that have arc-segments are accurately modelled. Procedure turns are included for all approaches where published. At Atlanta in particular, the unpublished departures alluded to in the ATL5 SID (EAONE EATWO etc) are included for use with turboprop aircraft (the jets use the RNAV departures), and the non-RNAV STARs provide route segments to the arrival approaches with realistic constraints for turboprops. The SIDSTAR text file includes a detailed header listing all procedures and notes to help get the best use of the procedures. For the interested, I included an example of how to create an arc where the radius and arc center are unknown based on using a geographical tool such as COMPSYS (available free from the FAA).
