File Description:
Based on original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set is a representation of the fictional USAF C-47 flown by John Wayne as Dooley in the 1953 classic film, "Island in the Sky". It is intended to complement an article written by Harold "Farmboyzim" Zimmer for the December 2007 issue of "Computer Pilot" magazine. Harold's review of "Island in the Sky" can be found at http://farmboyzimsflightsims.com/IslandintheSky_film_review.html. The texture set requires the base R4D-6/DC-3A package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org, together with two subsequent free C-47 enhancements to that product. This repaint is intended for the RAZBAM A-7 Corsair II vol.1 for FSX.
The aircraft depicted served with the US Navy VA-86 "Sidewinders" during 1981.This is their high vis scheme but strangely enough this aircraft did not feature the commonplace orange stripes on top of the wings. I equipped the pilot with a custom coloured helmet and the pilot/plane-captain's names are fictious.
Please take note that all the main textures are 2048x2048 pix and they feature custom panel lines/rivets and bump mapping.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Aircraft Factory F4-U Corsair, in the paintscheme of White 29, the Aircraft ot Lt Ira Kepford of VF-17 "Jolly Rogers". With 16 confirmed kills at the end of February 1944, Kepford was still the Navy's top ace, a distinction he retained until Alexander Vraciu went wild on June 19. Kepford returned to the States in March of 1944, and was assigned to Fleet Air Command at Alameda, California. In June, he was transferred to VF-84. In December, he was attached to the Staff of Commander Fleet Air, West Coast, where he served the remainder of WWII. In his five months of combat duty, Ira Kepford earned two Navy Crosses, the Gold Star, the Silver Star, three Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Air Medal, Unit Commendation to VF-17, and the American Defense Service Medal. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

Repaint of AI Aardvark's 747-200 GE in Jett8 Airlines Cargo colours. Jett8 Airlines Cargo is a Singapore based cargo airline serving Jarkata, Hong Kong, Dubai, Manchester and Luxembourg using 1 ex-Nippon Cargo Airlines 747-200SF. This file includes textures only, the base package (aia742ge.zip) Note: This repaint uses the 747-200 pax model and not the freighter model. This is because the aircraft was converted from a All Nippon Airways pax 747-200 without the nose door.

This is a repaint of the 747-129 in Sabena colors. The freeware 747-100 by Project Open Sky - POSKY is needed for this repaint. The model needed is "OS741V4_JT9D3". Sabena operated two 747-100s. They flew for the airline for many years, 1970 to 1993. Overall, they had 4 747-100s in their fleet, two of which were leased. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on P3D v1-3 and FSX.

Repaint for the PMDG 747-400 in the livery of the first 747 of Thai Cargo (HS-TGJ) named "Hariphunchai".
HS-TGJ has flown with Thai Airways for more than 20 years on passenger operations and has recently been converted into a Freighter. You'll need the PMDG 747-400 (Passenger version) to make this repaint work fine. This repaint is based on the PMDG passenger 747 because the actual HS-TGJ has been converted from passenger to freighter.
