| KLM 1998 AI Package |

File Description:
By 1998, the KLM/Northwest alliance was in full swing, and KLM was serving MSP, DTW, and even MEM daily with it's own metal while Northwest took over from KLM from BOS, IAD, and some other cities. KLM had a vast route network spanning the globe, serving much of Africa and the Middle East with many "tag on" routes onward from Amsterdam. By 1998, KLM was flying the MD-11, 747-200SUD(stretched upper deck), 747-200SUD Combi, 747-300 Combi, 747-400, 747-400 Combi, 767-300ER, 737-300, 737-400, and 6 mainline Fokker 100s which were short lived before going to KLM UK in late 1998 then on to CityHopper. Unfortunately, in the OAG, KLM only specified if a 747 was a combi or not(as in 747=744/742 while 74M can be a combi version of the 742,743, or 744) and did not differentiate between 737-300s and 737-400s. I did my best using what data I had to make the routes realistic, but the aircraft numbers at least are correct except for some extra 767s and 737s that you may remove if you wish. I also had issues making sure the TPE flights were all operated by "KLM Asia" 747s, so I ended up assigning 1 extra 747(I have 5, in real life there were 4) the Asia livery to ensure that you do not see a standard KLM 747 at TPE as they did not visit in real life. You may switch this to a normal 747 if you choose. Repaints by Raphael Rodrigues for the AIA Fokker 100 and FAIB 737-300, 737-400, 767-300, 747-200SUD, 747-300, and 747-400 along with flightplans by Chasen Richardson are included. Note that the 747-200SUD uses the 747-300 model. As a Bonus, the KLM Cargo 747-200SUD is also included.Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. This folder contains a repaint for the FG-1D Corsair by Milviz, in the colors of F4U-1 BuNo 55995 of VF-17, the aircraft flown by Lt (jg) Ira C. Kepford, Bougainville, February 1944. Ira Cassius Kepford was born in Harvey, Illinois, on May 29, 1919, son of George Raymond and Emma McLaughlin Kepford. His family moved to Muskegon, Michigan, shortly after he was born. An all-around athlete at Muskegon High School from 1935-1937, he capped his prep career by being named an All-State back in his senior year. He enrolled at Northwestern University in 1938 to study for a dentistry career.
He enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve on August 18, 1941, and was honorably discharged on April 29, 1942, to accept appointment as Aviation Cadet, U.S.N.R. After flight training at the Naval Air Stations, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Miami, Florida, he became a Naval Aviator on November 5, 1942, and was commissioned Ensign, U.S.N.R., with date of rank October 16, 1942.
Detached from Naval Air Station, Miami, Florida, in December 1942, he served with Fighting Squadron 17 in the Pacific War Area until March 1944, where he became the U.S. Navy's leading ace, scoring a record 16 confirmed Japanese planes destroyed. That squadron won the Navy Unit Commendation and he was personally awarded the Navy Cross, a Gold Star in lieu of the second Navy Cross, the Silver Star Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
From March until June he was attached to the Fleet Air, Alameda, Command, and the last six months of that year served with Fighting Squadron 84. In December 1944 he was transferred to the staff of Commander Fleet Air, West Coast, and remained in that assignment throughout the remaining period of hostilities. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

For FSX users make sure you have UNCHECKED "Aircraft casts shadows on the ground" under the Aircraft - Exterior Settings in FSX to make any FS9-based model visible during the day!
Texture quality; FSX Native: DDS DXT5 with alpha. FS9 Native: BMP DXT3 with alpha.
FSX Light Fix included in the DDS night texture.
Custom Light Map. Custom Shadows, Highs, Weathering as usual...
Included repaint is for the following model; FAIB_B737-200_N from FAIB, this is the N normal model, no logo light winglet model.

You need the basekit for this to work!!
