| Canadair CL-215 sound.cfg V.3 |

This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Canadair CL-215 amphibious fire tanker, I struck on the fabulous soundpack
for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26
Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior CL-215 sound (2 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the CL-215 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the CL-215, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. You can also use this sound for the Martin 4-0-4. This CL-215 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. Many thanks also to Milton Shupe. Canadair CL-44/CC-106 Yukon for AI Traffic. The CL-44 was designed as a civilian airliner based primarily upon the Bristol Britannia, and while it had a relatively short passenger career, it was frequently visible in the 1970s-1990s as a freighter, and was a workhorse of the Canadian Armed forces as the CC-106. I present an 8-LOD AI traffic model to bring this vintage transport aircraft to the flightsim world. This package includes CL-44D, CL-44J, and CC-106 models, with 23 repaints, and Photoshop repainting resources. Aircraft model, flight dynamics, and repaints by Michael Pearson.

File Description:
The Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, operates a fleet of air tankers and bird dog aircraft that consists of: 4 Grumman (De Havilland Canada built) CS2F-2 Tracker; 4 Convair (Conair/Kelowna Flightcraft) 580A; 5 Canadair CL-215; 1 Canadair CL-215T; 4 Beech Baron 55; and 4 Turbo Twin Commander. This package includes aircraft and flightplans to represent the summer and winter operation of the fleet. Aircraft models by Tomohito Unayama (Tracker), Massimo Taccoli (CL215 and 215T), Dee Waldron (Convair 580), Mike Cronin (Aero Commander) and default Baron 58 (Baron 55) are required. Readme provides further details. This package was developed for my CYVC La Ronge airport scenery (cyvc_la_ronge_2010.zip and cyvc_texture_fix.zip). Also required is EditVoicepack 3.1 for tanker and bird dog call signs.

File Description:
FS2004 RCAF Canadair Sabre CL-13 MK.2. 439 "Tiger" Sqdn. serial 19195. In May/June 1952 this aircraft participated in 439 Sqdn's Operation Leapfrog I, the first deployment of RCAF Sabres to Europe -- a flight which, through weather delays, took 16 days. Textures for Kirk Olsson's North American F-86A Sabre (SABREJET.ZIP). Repaint by Grant MacLean.
