File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Grumman G44A Widgeon by Flysimware. It shows Grumman G-44A Widgeon #1360 N17481, which was built in 1944. It was one of four widgeons offered to the U.S. Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service on the 28th of June,1950 by the U.S. Coast Guard. Widgeon 1360 started out its non-military life as N744 for the Department of U.S. Fish and Wildlife in 1950. It entered the civilian market in 1958 as N17481, and has been owned by Harvey Flying Service of Kodiak, Alaska since 1977. It is still airworthy and used regularly. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

Grumman Widgeon VC radial engines

File Description:
A very rare version of a Radial Widgeon. 450hp P&W R-985 engines gives solid performance on a rather light aircraft. VC has night lighting and custom XML gauges, a switch to move the yoke out of the way, rain effects, and much more. Exterior model weighs in at just under 18,000 polys. Clean mesh and tight texture maps allows this high detail model to run very smooth. Engine temperature management is required to prevent overheating, dont forget the cowl flaps! Airfiles are scratch built, and meet the few numbers I could find for this rare version of the Widgeon. Custom sounds, big and beefy... but a good custom set would replace it. Many hours into this project, I hope you enjoy it so far. Happy flyin!

Voisin Hydro-Canard

File Description:
This aircraft type became a popular sight at aerial demonstration meets around the globe. Despite its marginal controllability, the Voisin set many records, and is largely responsible for creating an interest in aviation amongst all Europeans. Aircraft designer Henry Farman (responsible for the Farman observation aircraft of World War I), had his earliest flight experiences in Voisin aircraft. Perhaps the most famous man to ever fly a Voisin was the world renowned escape artist and magician, Harry Houdini, who became the first recorded pilot to ever successfully fly an aircraft in Australia. This plane has a VC, XML animations, custom airfile, and the animated pilot's scarf blows in the wind. happy flyin!

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome

Old Rhinebeck, the living museum of antique aviation, located at NY94 in Rhinebeck NY. Included are all the buildings and hangars at the field. Photoreal ground textures for the Rock City area surrounding ORA. All lakes streams, and rivers were hand edited for accuracy. Hand placed autogen and trees to match the ground textures.
