Boeing B-17G 'Rhapsody in Red' Download

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!! Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints. This texture represents "Rhapsody in Red" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. The 91th BG, one of the more famous groups in the Eighth Air Force. "The Ragged Irregulars" were based at Bassingbourn, England. "Rhapsody in Red" Crew Members:1st Lt. Frank L. Adams, Pilot (0763887); 1st Lt. Monte B. Adams, Co-Pilot (0556018); 1st Lt. Harold W. Burts, Bombardier (0772936); 1st Lt. Elmer Gettis, Navigator (0712554). T/Sgt. Clifford M. Schultz, Radio Operator (36744080); T/Sgt. Vivian R. Chowning, Jr., Engineer (33634254); S/Sgt. Gerald L. Rhapsody in Red completed 94 missions. Mr. Schultz believes that the members of this crew may have completed 35 missions. Her last sortie was also the 91st Bomb Group's last sortie on April 25, 1945. She returned to the U.S.A. on May 26, 1945. On November 28, 1945 she was sent to Kingman, Arizona.

PABE - Bethel Airport - Alaska, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Bethel Airport is a state owned, public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Bethel.

Construction began September 21, 1941, and the airfield was activated July 4, 1942; it is also known as Bethel Air Base. It was used by Air Transport Command as auxiliary airfield for Lend-Lease aircraft being flown to Siberia. The facility was transferred to Eleventh Air Force, then to Alaskan Air Command in 1945; it became the joint-use Bethel Airport. It was used for construction of AC&W Bethel Air Force Station in mid 1950s. Full jurisdiction was turned over to Alaska Government in 1958.

Added and adjusted aprons and buildings. Also added additional parking. Added runway 1R/19L.Re-numbered runways to conform with AirNav data.

Created with Airport Design Editor 9x by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects and custom buildings.

Aeronautica Militare Fiat/Aeritalia G.91 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Aeronautica Militare Fiat/Aeritalia G.91. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this backbone of close air support in Europe during the Cold War years. The G.91 was built to suit a requirement for a NATO-compatible aircraft for close air support and light strike roles, able to operate from terrain as primitive as a flat grassy meadow (I found photos during research that support this). Going into production in 1961, this aircraft was manufactured for 19 years and served three European air forces for 35 years. The G.91 saw extensive combat service in Africa while operated by the Portuguese Air Force.

An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the G.91 in the service of the Italian Air Force and Frecce Tricolori Demonstration Team; with a total of 22 models and 74 repaints. Aircraft models covered are the G.91PAN, G.91R1, G.91R1A, G.91R1B, G.91T1, and G.91Y. Aircraft, textures, and flight dynamics by Michael Pearson.

A photoreal Gmax representation of the South African Air Force Memorial on the hill just north of Swartkop AFB (FASK) in Pretoria, South Africa.

All scenery elements are custom made with photoreal textures and no libraries are needed. This package will also replace the default "ground" around the airport (FASK) to make it blend better with the surrounding area (default ground texture).
