| Navy U-11A Piper PA-23 Aztec F |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is an almost authentic representation of what I think a modern Piper Aztec F would look like if it was painted to represent a Navy small VIP transport. The U.S. Navy purchased 20 of the very early stubby nosed Piper Aztecs in 1960 and designated them UO-1 aircraft. A few years later the military decided to align some of their numbering systems so it became the U-11A. The Navy assigned only one U-11A to a stateside base for short runs for the executives or as a special delivery vehicle that could outrun the UPS and FedEx ground vehicles with important orders or papers. They also used it to keep some of the desk bound fighter jocks on flying status by getting their monthly minimum flying hours in the left seat. The Aztec F is a lot sleeker with a very long snout so I had to guess at what the black painted area would cover. I also added a custom painted interior - Navy gray and black.

File Description:
YMHL Mount Holland Mine (closed) - Convergent Minerals Limited. Bounty Gold Mine at Mount Holland was discovered by Aztec Exploration in 1985. The annual evaporation in this area is more than double the rainfall so it is a very dry and hardy location. Mining commenced in 1988 and was completed in 2002 producing 1.2 million ounces of Gold. Further exploration indicates the possibility of expanding the resource and Convergent Minerals have recently aquired the nickel rights. The board has commissioned a desk top study into recommencing mining and gold production at the Bounty Project. REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

File Description:
South West Aviation started at Exeter in 1966 commencing operations with a Piper Aztec. By early 1968 the airline had grown and acquired a Shorts Skyvan on lease and had established footholds at Bristol Lulsgate and Swansea as well as Exeter. Late 1968 they acquired their first DC3 aircraft G-APBC which operated numerous charter flights within UK and to Ireland and the rest of Europe. It was used for airborne filming of the 'Torrey Canyon' and Aberfan disasters. A second DC3 G-AMYJ was acquired in 1969. Initially the DC3's carried out most of their flying from SW England and S Wales. However, in April 1969 'BC started charter operations between Norwich, Tesside and Aberdeen in support of the North Sea oil industry. 1970 saw the introduction of scheduled air services to Cherbourg from both Exeter and Southampton using the DC3. In 1972 SWA were bought out by Ashford based Air Freight Ltd and the name of South West Aviation disappeared. Requires default DC-3.

File Description:
This is a repaint of a Boeing 777-200ER, registration code N776AM, operated by AeroMexico, the flag carrier airline of Mexico, based in Mexico City and operating from Mexico City International Airport. The airline's logo shows the head of an Aztec Eagle Knight (Caballeros Aguilas), warriors who wore feathered helmets including an open beak. This repaint has plenty of clear markings so if you enjoy exterior detail, then you will love this repaint. You can see (and read): Door opening instructions; Static port directions; Air vent warnings; Engine hazard area; No Step warnings; RAT caution; APU intake warning; Stabilizer compartment access; Ground power supply; Forward and aft access door instructions; Pitot, ADA probe, Ice detector and TAT probe markings; Visible rivets; Enhanced window frames; Authentic AeroMexico logo; Bold, colorful AeroMexico livery and authentic flags; Lovely AeroMexico flight attendant; No frame rate hit.
