This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-26386 D5-O "Sally Flat Foot III", the assigned aircraft of Lt William Ward of the 386th FS/ 365th FG. The first 365th FG pilot to report for duty, Bill Ward also had the distinction of leading the group on its last combat mission, a patrol flight on 8 May 1945. He scored to kills over Me109's, one marked with the German cross below the cockpit, scored on 22 june 1944, and another later in 1944, but that never made it into the 365th history books, hence the question mark. All lt Ward's Thunderbolts were called Sally Flat Foot, a nickname for his wife Sally. The third one also had a picture of a bird on the nose he referred to as 'the worry bird'. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

Story as follows: NEWS FLASH! 08/18/2005 - BUSH PILOT GROUNDED PENDING INVESTIGATION - KETCHIKAN (APX) - The alaska wilderness is no stranger to strange tales. At least that's how it appears in the case of a local bush pilot, Randy Morgan, who had quite a large one to tell.
At 6 PM on the evening of the 16th, Randy and one passenger took off in a Cessna 182RG from Maloney's Tavern on his way back to Ketchikan. "The weather was good and I had no idea what was about to happen" said Randy Morgan. "We had planned our flight to pass over Raptor's Roost and Punchbowl Lake before heading into Ketchikan when I saw it." 99% accurate scheduled flightplans for the winter 2005-2006 period, which have been compiled according to the company website, and cross-checked with Amadeus (99% because I had to switch one return flight normally operated with a Boeing 737-300 by a 737-500, due to the numerous "equipment varying" appearing on their published timetables).
Bulgaria Air, re-established after the bankruptcy of Balkan is now operating five Boeing 737-300 and four Boeing 737-500.
One of their 737-500 (LZ-BOR) operates for the Bulgarian Governement and can be seen randomly on charter sorties, but not included in this file.
With this all-737 fleet, they operate from their main base Sofia-Vrazhdebna to:
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin-Tegel, Brussels, Frankfurt/Main, Lisboa, London-Gatwick, Madrid-Barajas, Málaga, Manchester, Milano-Malpensa, Moscow-SVO, Palma de Mallorca, Paris-CDG, Roma-Fiumicino, Tel Aviv, Varna, Wien, and Zürich.
Schedule files fully compatible with Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy (available here). Enjoy...

File Description:
This is a mopdified version of Ray Smith's (fsx_cyyc_rs.zip) scenery for CYYC. Ray has given me permission to make his file available for Prepar3D. Ther are two optional files, one version with the Crosswind runways operating where all 4 runways will be used for takeoff and landing and one version as the default airport runway operation: assigned parking as per their website with extra parking, the new international terminal added, concouse D and Concourse E, a new midfield control tower. Sunwest Aviation has now moved to its new location with its buildings and hangar also included together with coded the parking spots for those using their flight plans. Taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, lighted helipad, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added. Airport views are from the roof of the new control tower (when in tower view). Please view the readme before installation.
