Dutch Harbor Sectional Chart Chunks Optimized For Moving Map Application

File Description:
Sectional chart chunks made from the August 2009 Sectional charts at the original scale, formatted in the WGS84 lat/lon geographic coordinate system for GPS, moving map application for flight simulation use. These chart chunks were converted to the JPEG format for compatibility and size. Coverage is the full Sectional area North and South divided into JPEG tiles. They are about 3k x 3k pixels at 2.5mb with coverage of 90nm x 130nm per tile. Included is also the projection files and world files. **Includes the Pribilof Islands map chunk.

Sucre, Bolivia - SLAL - Alcantari Int'l Airport - Patch fix updated

File Description:
7 years ago, I created that time was no detailed enough. I have a Navigraph chart and saw Google Images updated. I found out the VOR location wasn't correct. I fixed and moved the correct location. Sorry, some pilot simmers get confused about location offset too short to the runway. My bad. LOL Now, it's corrected. I removed the grass poly the airport doesn't have grass surrounding it. I put VTPP ply. It looks good for now.

Avon STOLPort (KWHR)

File Description:
A recreation of the Avon STOLPort (ident KWHR) for MS Flight Simulator 2004, A Century of Flight. Avon was operated as an exclusive destination for Rocky Mountain Airways between (approximately) 1978 and sometime in the late 80's or early 90's. The 4,000' runway was short for the nearly 7,500' elevation, and surrounded by mountains, some towering over 6,000' above the airport elevation. To allow all weather operation, the airport eventually featured what was reported as the steepest ILS ever constructed, with a seven degree glideslope. RMA had exclusive use of the tiny STOLPort and operated it with 50-passenger De Haviland Dash 7 equipement. Lacking the original chart, I surveyed in FS and plotted what is hopefully an accurate representation of the ILS approach, using my best understanding of TERPS - the US standard for instrument approaches. I also created an NOS-style IAP chart of this approach for the package. A text Takeoff Minimums & Procedure is also included. AI ATC & traffic recognition of the approach will hopefully follow, but does not exist yet. In other words, you can fly this approach and see the localizer in the GPS, but AI ATC will not give you vectors to it. You'll need to follow the full procedure included on the chart. Please see the full Readme.txt in "Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\KWHR\Docs" in this zipfile for information on installation of the scenery, flying the approach, and more on the history of the Avon STOLPort.

Kualanamu International Airport, Indonesia

File Description:
Kualanamu International Airport, replaces the former Polonia International Airport which was the site of several accidents. Kualanamu opened on 25th July 2013 and is about 37 Km from Medan city. It currently serves more than 12 million passengers per year. I have used ADEX and Google Earth plus available charts to modify and move the stock airport in FSX. Added aircraft parking according to the charts. Changed the runway length and the ILS system to conform with the chart data. You should download the brilliant car park package by Sidney Schwartz, modified my Martin Gossman at Owls Nest. Also the great lights package by Jim Dhaenens. Both can be found on AVSIM and other good flight sim libraries.

Search & Rescue Mission

File Description:
This is a search and rescue operation involving a Martin 4 0 4 twin engine medium size plane. The plane was going to Gustovus for a complete paint job along with a major on the #2 engine, along with the fuel system being completely updated and reworked. This plane took off from Haines(PAHN) heading for Gustavus(PAGS) Both located in Juneau Alaska(sectional chart Juneau). Haines airport(PAHN) is default enhanced with some extra aircraft going out for the mission.
