| Iran Air (circa 1962) default Douglas DC3 |

File Description:
This is a repaint of the FS2004 default DC3 in the Iran Air early days livery. Iran Air came about in 1962, after Iranian Airways and Persian Air Services were joined together, taking the name of Iran National Airlines (internationally known as Iran Air). Iranian Airways had been the first Iranian flag carrier, when it was formed in 1944.
In a few years, with a fleet of 17 mostly DC-3 aircraft, Iran Air had both domestic and international routes covering many major Middle East cities.It soon built a large route map consisting of flights all over the Middle East, to Northern Africa, Europe and New York, and including a dense domestic flight schedule.
The first planes used by the company were the Avro York, DC-3, DC-6 and Vickers Viscount types.
Since I only had two very small B&W (or rather Brown and Yellow!) photos of IR DC3's, I've done my best to make the repaint look
as real as possible, hope that you'll like it.

File Description:
This is a repaint of one of the 2 aircraft used in the film "The High and The Mighty" (John Wayne and Robert Stack - 1954). This aircraft actually flew in this paint around Los Angeles and the bay area of southern California in November of 1953 for in-flight footage, so it's entirely fictional...but the airline was.
The original repaint was by Dave McQueen for Jens B. Kristensen's DC-4/C-54 version 2.0. I have updated it to make it compatable with the Jens' new version 2.1 (DC4_v21.zip) to use the DC-4-1009 airfile. Load your plane with 3050 gallons of fuel and balance out passengers and cargo to total 73,000 lbs. and you can duplicate flight #420 in the film! If you wish to shut down engine #1 and dump 200 gallons of fuel from the left wing and see if you can still get to San Fransico from Honolulu, that's up to you..but it is a challenge. This painted Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i This livery was made by Reflection Studio's 9 (flightsim Studios). Please note the model is included. Also this repaint is only for FS2004, Reflection Studio's 9 does NOT support Flight Simulator X, we also do not accept requests. We have many liveries in development already. Note that if you read the ReadMe and the PDF file you'll notice that there are instructions on how to install this aircraft to your Flight Simulator. We have tested this livery on two computers of different types running FS2004 so it works perfectly.
