Bonanza Airlines Douglas DC-3

File Description:
FS2004. Texture sets only, requiring the base model of the GMAX MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 available from www.maam.org. Based on original textures by Jan Visser. Bonanza Air Services (BAS) was formed in early in 1945 by Edmund Converse, a former lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy; Charlie Keene, once an operator of a small charter operation in Santa Paula, California; and June Simon, daughter of "Pop" Simon the former secretary-director of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. BAS located its home base at the Sky Haven Airfield, now known as the North Las Vegas Air Terminal, and began operating with just one single-engine, four-seat Cessna. The company offered charter flights to several small Nevada towns but needed a place to promote its product. The trio struck a deal with the El Rancho Vegas Hotel and Casino to set up a ticket counter in the lobby. Bonanza Air Lines was the aviation pioneer in the western United States and proved to be a vital link in the air transportation industry. In it's 23 years of operation BAL growth continued up until the time of the merger. Bonanza will be remembered as a successful airline.

LADU-Colombia Douglas DC-3

File Description:
FS2004. Texture sets only, requiring the base model of the GMAX MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3 available from www.maam.org. Based on original textures by Jan Visser. Cargo Model. LADU-Colombia from Historic Airways (Breathing new live into old planes). Not much is know about LADU-Colombia, internet research listed some planes, but nothing on the airline itself. This plane (A Super DC-3) was left at the cargo ramp at Jose Maria Cordova (MDE / SKRG), Colombia (reasons unknown) and over the years is now overgrown. From the picture, it looks like the landing gear has been removed and now sits on blocks. Photo taken 27 July 2005.

US Overseas Airlines DC-4

File Description:
US Overseas DC-4. This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, March, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Starting in 1946 United States Overseas Airlines flew mainly as a contract carrier for the US Air Force and US Navy. USOA began scheduled flights from various US terminals in 1958 but lack of jet aircraft made it impossible to compete with established carriers and USOA went out of business in November, 1964.

Douglas DC-3 Santair FIX

File Description:
If, in the spirit of the holiday season and to delight your offspring, you downloaded Rudolph The Red-nosed DC-3 (DC3SANTA.ZIP), you may have noticed that no presents are seen to fall from the aircraft as were promised. You have, no doubt, been concerned as to whether you were good enough this year to merit any, haven't you? However, rest at ease. The lack of gifts is all down to a major stuff-up by Santa's Chief Elf, yours truly, who uploaded old working files in error rather than the finished packages. So here are sackfuls of presents to remedy things. Please apologise to your children and, once again, Merry Christmas!

Slick Airways DC-4 Repaint

File Description:
Slick Airways DC-4 This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, May, 2006, textures only.The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Slick Airways was founded in San Antonio, Texas in January 1946 by Earl F. Slick. It began operations in March 1946 using ten Curtiss C-46s. Slick became a scheduled freight carrier in 1949. Slick nearly merged with the Flying Tiger Line in 1953 but the merger fell through. Slick provided transcontinental service and also flew contracts for the US military. But the airline failed financially and in 1966 Airlift International (Riddle) took over the assets of Slick. Slick flew C46, DC4, DC6, L1049 and CL44 equipment.

This package includes a model and textures, panel and sound: default FS9 b747/b737, for best experience search on avsim.com: panel by Pasquale Rinaldi (dc10-fs9.zip) and soundpack by Devyn Silverstein (cf6-50c.zip). PLUNA Douglas DC-3(C-47A-25-DK)CX-AGD"Rivera",C/N 13306.Builded for the USAAF as 42-93399,and transfered to the RAF as KG583.Was in service with PLUNA for some 15 years and taked in charge by the Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya the 19/05/71 together with other 3 DC-3 registred as FAU-522,FAU-523 and FAU-524. CX-AGD was placed in reserve for remplacement parts for his C-47s fleet. The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser.Repainted by Daniel Nole.In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.
