Philippine Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30

File Description:
This is SGA McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 in Philippine Airlines Current Livery. Philippine Airlines used this livery for their McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 in the late 1980's. Philippine Airlines operated the McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 for the first time in 1974 for Trans-Pacific routes. The Airline replaced the DC-10-30 in the 1990's with the MD-11. Philippine Airlines phased out the DC-10 by 1998, when the company temporarily closed. This is only a texture set, so please read the install readme.

Transavia Douglas DC-6

File Description:
In November 1966 the Dutch charter operator Transavia Holland started its activities with 2 Douglas DC-6 and 1 Douglas DC-6B aircraft. Despite stiff competition from KLM and Martinair Holland, Transavia was able to conquer a considerable part of the charter and inclusive tours market and expanded its fleet with a several more DC-6B's. In 1968 Transavia became involved in the relief airlift from Sao Tome to Biafra using its fleet of DC-6's. The next year the DC-6's were sold to Flughjalp who continued flying the Biafra missions till January 1970. Featured here are DC-6 PH-TRA (1966 livery) and DC-6 PH-TRB (1968 livery). Today Transavia is a major Dutch low cost and charter airline (owned by Air France-KLM) operating Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft. These are textures only. You will require Jens B. Sabena (Circa 1960) Douglas DC-6

File Description:
The first European operator of the Douglas DC-6 was the Belgian airline Sabena. The first of five DC-6s, which was registered OO-AWA (see Jens B. Kristensen's FS2004 Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20.zip), was delivered on 15 July 1947. It was introduced on the Brussels-New York service in August 1947. Of course the DC-6s also operated on the Brussels-Leopoldville (now Kinshasa) route, the "lifeline" to the former Belgian colony Congo. From 1953 on they were joined by nine slightly larger DC-6Bs and one DC-6A. Except for OO-AWB which crashed in 1955, the "short" DC-6 had a remarkably long career with Sabena, incl. being leased to Air Congo. The last example was sold in 1965. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

German Cargo McDonnell Douglas DC-8-73AF

File Description:
Textures for AI-Aardvark's excellent DC-8 Model in German Cargo (GCS) colors. German Cargo Services (CCS) was a subsidiary company of Lufthansa. Founded in 1977 it provided split and full charter freight services. In 1984 the fleet of four Boeing 707-Freighters was replaced by five DC-8-73. Textures only! You need AI-Aardvark's Douglas DC-8-71/DC-8-73 basepack (aiaDC8_7.zip)available i.e. here at avsim.com.
