Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 Flogger (Part 2). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-23, with just over 5,000 built, was Russia's first production of a true multi-role aircraft with a beyond-visual-range air superiority role as its primary function. The aircraft was arguably the direct counterpart of the F-4 Phantom, although it carried about half of the ordnance load. Nevertheless, in capable hands and late versions, the Flogger has been and is a very potent adversary; having served in multiple conflicts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The MiG-23 entered service in 1970, was eventually operated by 43 countries, and is still in service in 14 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-23MF; with 6 models and 118 repaints. Original aircraft model, afterburner effects, flight dynamics, and textures by Michael Pearson. Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-27 Flogger. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-27, with just under 1,100 built, was a follow-on production variant of the MiG-23BN ground-attack version. The Flogger-D (and later -J), nicknamed the "Crocodile" for its flattened nose, was and still is a dedicated close air support and short-range strike/interdiction aircraft, comparable to the SEPECAT Jaguar. The MIG-27 has served in multiple conflicts in Europe and Asia. The MiG-27 entered service in 1975, was eventually operated by 4 countries, and is still in service in 3 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-27 Flogger-D and MiG-27M Flogger-J in an all-classic AI package; with 16 models and 72 repaints; current aircraft will be addressed in future releases. Douglas DC-7 for AI Traffic. The DC-7 propliner was designed for long-range commercial transport, being one of the first aircraft to utilize the polar routes from Europe to North America. Although the DC-7 was a very advanced aircraft for its time of production, it was produced at the cusp of the commercial jetliner age and was quickly eclipsed by a new generation of air travel. Subsequently the DC-7 was not as commercially successful as its predecessors, and only a handful remain in the cargo and aerial firefighting roles. In conjunction with Jake Burrus, I present an 8-LOD AI traffic model to bring this classic transport aircraft to the flightsim world. This package includes 14 models, 40 repaints, and a Photoshop paint kit. The paints in this package focus on DC-7 use from the 1970s to present day, with a few vintage paints thrown in. Aircraft model and master textures by Jake Burrus and Michael Pearson, flight dynamics and repaints by Michael Pearson.

File Description:
This is a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave Productions WWII Fighters product. This repaint depicts the Nakajima A6M2 Model 21 owned/operated by the Texas Flying Legends Museum, based at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, which flies at airshows around the country each year. The aircraft is referred to as the "Last Samurai", as it is the only A6M2 Model 21 Zero still flying, the same type which was used by the Japanese Navy during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Although the actual aircraft is almost entirely new-build, each part copied from original parts or drawings, the aircraft's identity originates from A6M2 serial number 1498, which was recovered from the Solomon Islands in the late 60's. The completed aircraft, which first flew in the summer of 2005, has been praised by Japanese aeronautical engineers and world experts as being the most accurate/authentic of all of the flying reproductions. The exterior repaint was created using Martin Catney's superb paintkit, and modified VC textures are included to closely match the real aircraft. This repaint will work for both FSX and FS2004.

This folder contains a repaint for the Carenado Milviz F-86, in the colors of the aircraft of the Minute Men, the Colorado Air National Guard demonstration team. The team existed unofficially from 1953 to 1956, flying Lockheed F-80Cs. Members of the Colorado Air National Guard's Minute Men put on aerial shows in their F-86s beginning in 1954, and from 1956 until 1959, they served as the National Guard Bureaus official aerial demonstration team representing all ANG units. The "Minute Men" performed in 47 U.S. states, as well as the territories of Hawaii and Alaska, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatamala City, Mexico City, and Kingston (Jamaica). In 1959 it was disbanded out of budgetary reasons. I have included four different aircraft in this folder that flew with the Minute Men, all F-86F-2 cannon armed aircraft that were used for gunval evaluations in Korea. The cannons were removed for the team. The included aircraft are #51-2826, #51-2867 (with a slightly different paintjob), #51-2868 and #51-2900. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.

File Description:
A high quality AFCAD2 for Chhatrapati Shivaji Int'l Airport, Mumbai, India. This AFCAD file is for the default FS2004 airport and has been built from scratch. The airport has concrete taxiways, remodelled aprons and full night lighting, including approach lights on all runways. All gates and cargo ramps have airline assignments. Using the crosswing runway technique, both runways can be used at the same time for take-offs and landings. Runway 14 features a holding area/turning loop, making aircraft turn arounds easier on that runway. The domestic terminal features 35 aircraft stands, the international terminal has 24 stands (18 for 747 sized aircraft) and the cargo ramp has 9 stands (all capable of holding cargo 747s). If you have lots of traffic flowing through Mumbai, this file will bring your airport to life. New in this release, Taxiways updated slightly to avoid AI jams, and now aircraft landing on runway 14 will no longer halt eastbound takeoff operations by taxying along runway 09 to get to the terminal. File Description:
The Su-34 (also known as Su-27IB) fighter bomber has been developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau Joint Stock Company in Moscow and the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association at Novosibirsk in Russia. First deliveries of the fighter bomber are expected to begin in 2005 and it is planned as a replacement for Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft. Su-34 is one of a number of Russian aircraft (Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-35) which have been given the NATO codename Flanker. The Su-34 fighter bomber is a derivative of the Su-27 fighter aircraft. The aircraft design retains the basic layout and construction of the Su-27 airframe, with a conventional high-wing configuration and a substantial part of the onboard equipment. The Su-34 has a changed contour of the nose section to accommodate an advanced multi-mode phased array radar with terrain following and terrain avoidance modes. It has a two-seat rather than single-seat cockpit. The capacity of the internal fuel tanks has been increased with a resulting increased take-off weight. Changes have been made to the central tail boom for a rear-facing radar. This model of the Su-34 for X-Plane version 6.30 includes two air-to-air missile types, the R-27, and R-73. Once downloaded, install the missiles into your weapons folder.

The Master_GA_sorted_country contains: some 20,436 flight plans that have been adopted from Reggie Fields' sorted aircraft registration collections. The following is from his readme file (included folder), "FS2004 General Aviation AI traffic with more correct registration numbers for the originating country. This file is a modification of the FS2004 default GA traffic designed to minimize the number of small single engine aircraft landing at the worlds major commercial airports. This will prevent a lot of go-around orders to commercial jets based on the length of time it takes a C172 to clear a 10,000 ft runway. This file makes commercial AI traffic flow much better than the MS default while retaining the GA aircraft in the airspace." Like Reggie Fields' files, all are free to use and redistribute but can not be sold. AC#defaultfp_sorted_ICAO folder contains all individual default aircraft in seperate files and their FS9 default flight plans are sorted by ICAO. A second folder contains a file for each country with the mentioned GA flight plans sorted by ICAO. This should be of an aide to those of us who wish to put more correct AI aircraft into a region or country. Copy/paste should be easier, this way, when building on each countries' aviation/flights. All files are text (.txt) files (ASCII.) They have no @ and TTOOLS by Lee Swordy is recommended.
