This is a repaint of the Project Airbus A319 (model included) in the new Germanwings livery. Germanwings is a German low cost airline based in Cologne and a subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
In 2013, July introduces the "new Germanwings" an entirely new brand and product concept.
Germanwings also changed the logo.
The new logo is a stylized "W" in blackberry and yellow, which is intended to represent the "Wings" from Germanwings.
This aircraft is one of first with new livery.
Project Airbus A319-100 model with VC included.

| American Airlines "America West" Airbus A319 |

File Description:
America West was one of several airlines that make up present day American Airlines. When merged with US Airways in 2006, to hold onto its Phoenix roots, one aircraft (N838AW) kept it's America West livery. (It was the final A319 originally delivered with that scheme.) The aircraft was repainted with American Airlines titles with the merger in 2014. This is one of several Retro jets representing former carriers that make up present day American Airlines. Textures only for the great Project Airbus model; the base pack is available here on AVSIM: pa319_basepack_fs9_2014-09-08.zip. Enjoy!

Since the merger is pretty much a done deal,the NWA Airbuses will join Deltas fleet in Delta Colors in early 2009 or shortly thereafter.

Contains accurate model with details such as: opening passenger and cargo doors, animated pack inlets and outflow valves, all operable control surfaces, flexing wings, detailed flap tracks and slat rails, hydraulics modeled on spoilers and landing gear doors. Model design by Andy Warden and Derek Mayer, flight dynamics by Peter Binamira, base textures by Demetris Themistocleous and Alessandro Savarese,Tested by Alexander Kvitta and Thomas Ruth.
