North American P-51D 356th FG (PI-W) "Jacky" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-20-NA #44-15056 PI-W "Jackie / Lorraine" as flown by Lt Bill Crump of the 356th FG. Lt "Wild" Bill Crump of the 360th FS was known to give his pet coyote 'Jeep' rides in his P-47. He had found the coyote as a young pup while training in Nebraska and adopted it, naming it Jeep. Jeep was taken on board while flying and got accustomed to it. Bill managed to smuggle it to England and it seems Jeep even flew 5 operational missions. Unfortunately, Jeep was run over by a truck, but was immortalised on the side of Bill's P-51 'Jackie', named after his sweetheart. More on Bill Crump and Jeep here: http://wildbillcrump.com/. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

"Polished RAF Harvard" North American AT-6 (D-FRCP) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the restored Noorduyn-built Harvard Mk.IIb registered as D-FRCP. An earlier, pre-2010 depiction of this aircraft is included in the A2A product, and this repaint depicts the aircraft as it now appears following an extensive 3-4 year restoration by MeierMotors, completed in 2014. This particular aircraft was assigned to the RCAF during WWII, as FS728, and was later sold to the Netherlands AF in 1947 where it was coded B-104. The aircraft was first sold into the civilian market in 1970, becoming PH-SKL in the Netherlands, and would later be sold to Britain as G-BAFM, then to Switzerland as HB-RCP, and finally to Germany in 2001, becoming D-FRCP. Following its recent restoration, the aircraft is finished in overall polished metal with basic RAF trainer markings.

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the accu-sim version of the A2A B-17G Flying Fortress. B-17F 41-24585 "Wulfe Hound" flew with the 303rd BG from the UK until it was forced to make an emergency landing within enemy territory on 12 december 1945. It was not damaged very much, and the Germans managed to get it airborne again. It was given a yellow underside and the markings DL+XC and was extensively tested at Rechlin airfield. It was also sent on a tour of Luftwaffe fighterbases in France, to make the pilots there with the weak and strong points of the B-17. Afterwards, it was transferred to KG200, a squadron for all kinds of clandestine missions. It was destroyed during an American airraid on Oranienburg Airfield near Berlin in april 1945. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by A2A.
