JELAIR - Maersk Air, Boeing 737-2L9 (OY-MBZ) - version 3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This aircraft (for FSX, with update-patch #2) is a simulated replica of Maersk Air's 'Pocket Rocket' OY-MBZ (a Boeing 737-2L9 a.k.a. 737-200/Advanced) anno 1989. It is designed for a screen-resolution of 1280x1024. Other resolutions have not been tested. It will NOT work correctly in FS2004 (FS9). It has been tested on Windows XP (32bit) and Windows 7 (64bit) only. It is designed to be as realistic as possible, and flight-experience from the real aircraft, as well as large amounts of documentation, have been used to get it as accurate as possible. It has a fairly advanced panel with many systems simulated, such as a passenger oxygen system, a cabin pressure system, anti-skid brakes, EPR control of each engine (with the possibility of asymmetric thrust), IVSI with TCAS, Sperry SP177 autopilot with working CWS and level-change button, active yaw-damper, Quality-of-flight index (so you can see how well you operate the aircraft), windshield wiper, custom flight-computer, automatic Vspeeds for takeoff and landing, takeoff trim calculator, master caution system, PAX simulator (if you make a mistake they may die), a JT8D-17 engine with slow spin-up time (do not idle it on approach). It features a relatively realistic random-failures/error simulation which will trigger, or de-trigger, any of a variety of possible failures/errors (from small gauge-errors to large engine-failures or cabin de-compression). The chance of a failure/error is very low (you may never even get one, but they can happen, so stay alert), maybe less than 1 percent chance per 24 hours of flight-time. It features engine-management simulation, so overheating an engine will cause it to fail (now you actually need to pay attention to the EGT during engine-startup, and have your finger ready at the fuel-cutoff switch just in case you need to save the engine from heat-damage). It features sounds recorded from the actual aircraft (OY-MBZ).

This is the third release of this JELAIR addon. A very big thank you to all the following very talented people that participated directly or in-directly in the production of this add-on: Original Model by Erick Cantu, Original Panel by Pablo Contouris, Original Panel BMP by Bob Scott, Original Panel Gauges by Ken Mitchell, Doug Dawson, Pierre Fasseaux, SPanel, www.FS2X.com, Original Sound by Christoffer Petersen, Original Textures by Henry William, FDE, various modifications and adjustments for aircraft type, as well as additional gauges and sounds by JELAIR

P-51D Mustang "Upupa Epops" Download

File Description:
This is a repaint pack only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. P-51D 44-72364 was built at the North American Aviation Inglewood plant in 1944. It was sent into action with the 353rd Fighter Group, 352nd Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. The aircraft was flown by Capt. Harrison "Bud" Tordoff, who named it "Upupa Epops", latin for the Hoopoe Bird which has ungainly flight. At war's end Bud Torduff had claimed nine enemy airplanes shot down, one of them an Me-262 shot down while flying "Upupa Epops." After the war the aircraft was sent to the Royal Swedish Air Force, then flew with the Dominican Air Force from 1952 until 1984. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, purchased the aircraft in 1999, adding it to his growing muesum, the Flying Heritage Collection. The aircraft immediately went to WestPac, in California, for restoration. During this time period it was restored inside and out, matching every component to every specification of the original, utilizing documents upon documents of information. When the aircraft completed restoration in 2001, it was the most original, most authentic of its type. After several test flights in its factory finish, the original "Upupa Epops" markings were applied. Currently the aircraft can be seen at its newest home, with the Flying Heritage Collection, at Paine Field, near Seattle. Included within this download are two repaints, one portrays exactly how "Upupa Epops" looked when it rolled out of WestPac's shop after restoration, in factory standard, and the second portrays the aircraft complete with markings.

Essex County Airport (KCDW), NJ Download

File Description:
Located 02 miles N of Caldwell, New Jersey on 275 acres of land, Essex County Airport is a public airport with two asphalt runways, the longest of which is 4552'. Major changes include Runway 9/27 updated to the current 10/28; Runway 4/22 markings are custom made to match the real world, with threshold stripes on Runway 22 only; the beacon has been relocated to its real world location atop the control tower. Additionally, 221 parking locations have been accurately placed around the airport, broken up into 6 sections. See the included airport diagram that labels the various parking areas. 89 of these parking spaces are labeled RAMP_GA and these spaces are occupied by static aircraft. Collision with all static aircraft is disabled but still, if you do not want to start occupying the same space as another airplane, do not choose parking spots labeled RAMP_GA. Instead, all user aircraft should choose either RAMP_GA_SMALL (for wingspans up to 40') or RAMP_GA_MEDIUM (for wingspans up to 60' and only available in East Parking). Also, only 86 of these parking spaces are available for AI aircraft to spawn in. There are hangars available to transient aircraft: the two in South and Southeast parking are able to accommodate small craft with wingspans up to 40'; the one in Northeast parking is able to accommodate larger aircraft with wingspans up to 54'. Helicopters can start either on Taxiway P (South helipad), Taxiway N (North helipad) or in front of the main terminal (East helipad). Fuel is available in both the East and South parking areas by stopping anywhere on the concrete next to the fuel tank/pump. Take note that the runway patterns are both Left and Right and the pattern altitude varies for aircraft type. There are known issues with the AI for this airport, see the ReadMe for more details. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New York 005. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Air Ceylon, Lockheed L-749A Constellation, 1956-1958 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Air Ceylon was formed in 1947 by the government of the newly independent Republic of Ceylon (nowadays Sri Lanka). That same year three Lockheed L-749 Constellations were ordered for the connection Colombo-London. The order for the Connies lapsed and in 1949 Air Ceylon started a service operating Douglas DC-4s leased from Australian National Airways (ANA), who owned 49% of the shares (the other 51% were owned by the government of Ceylon). However, fierce competition from BOAC's DH-104 Comet 1 and TWA's L-749 Constellation forced Air Ceylon to close the London connection in 1953. In 1955 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took over the shares from ANA. From 7 February 1956 till 1 November 1958 Air Ceylon leased KLM's L-749A Constellation PH-LDP for its new, weekly connection Colombo-(Bombay)-Karachi-Bahrain-Cairo-Rome-London-Amsterdam. For a limited period this route was extended from Colombo to Bangkok. PH-LDP was sprayed in a very pretty, exotic livery and received the name 'Mahadevi', its previous name having been 'Rotterdam'. In November 1958 PH-LDP was superseded by KLM's L-1049G Super Constellation PH-LKA/4R-ACH which also received a full Air Ceylon livery. On 3 November 1958 PH-LDP was written from use at Schiphol (Amsterdam) and has been scrapped sometime in 1962.

These are textures only. You will require Team 749's (Manfred Jahn & Co) Lockheed L-749 Constellation Basic Pack (lockheed749.zip), the folder Lockheed_L749_1 (twin stack exhausts). Also required Team 749's Lockheed L-749 Constellation Models Update (749_models_update.zip). Included mdl's custom made by Manfred Jahn. Repaints (based on Manfred Jahn's textures) by Maarten Brouwer.

Flightplan Visualizer 1.11 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Flightplan Visualizer (FV) version 1.11.0. Copyright 2018-2019 by Pelle F. S. Liljendal ([email protected]), all rights reserved. FV comes with 540 pre-imported Commercial AI flightplans (+380 BizJet flightplans are available as a separate download). However you are able to import additional (AI) flightplans yourself. Once imported these (AI) flightplans can be visualized on a map-view, and the user will be able to search accross all these. Hence you can use the program as inspiration as to which routes to fly. E.g. you can search across all imported flightplans to find all flights in an A321 flying into/out from LDDU, or simply to look for all flights in a Boeing 747-8F. Simply run the included installer to install the software. The program will be installed into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flightplan Visualizer" and all datafiles will be installed into: "C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\FlightplanVisualizer". The program comes with a full manual explaining everything, and a 3 page quick manual to get you started. The first 3 times you run the program the quick manual will automatically open. The forum is hosted here: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/919-flightplan-visualizer/ Version 1.11 Contains the following changes: The file-format of the Flightplan-files was changed to accommodate some planed changes. The program remains backward compatible, so "old" flightplans can still be loaded. I wanted to implement these changes BEFORE I began importing new flightplans, to ensure these new/updated flightplans are all utilizing the new format. On startup the old flightplans will automatically be converted to the new format. The new installer now comes bundled with 540 commercial flightplans (schedules:22291, legs:699158) whereas the old one "only" contained 300 commercial flighplans (schedules:16786, legs:536198). All BizJet flightplans were removed from the installer and are now available as a separate download. A new settings-form have been added to eliminate the need to manually edit the settings-file using a text-editor. A new menu-item have been added which opens an explore window browsing the content of the UserData folder. Individual (disabled) flightplan-files can now be permanently deleted via the "Enable/disable flightplans" form. Flightplan sub-folders (with exception of "Disabled") can now be marked as "enabled" (using a check-box). Meaning that the flightplans in these will be also loaded on startup (along with the files in the root-folder). Using the "Enable/disable flightplans" form you can now both move and copy flightplans (based on the value of the radio-buttons). A creator-field have been added to flightplans, which can be entered when you import/edit a flightplan. The name of the creator is displayed as a tool tip when hoovering the mouse over the combo-box in the bottom of the main-form. When importing new Flightplans the program will try to grab creator and provider from the files bundled with the flightplan. Likewise a button is added to the import-form which list the content of the text-files (e.g. "ReadMe.txt"), in case you need to manually grab the creators name from this file. Both when importing- and editing flightplans a new column have been added to the airport list-view containing comments regarding airports that have been redirected (from one ICAO to another), or airports classified as pseudo-airports (in case the airport does not exists in the flightsim). The elevation-column from previous versions was removed to make more room for the comment-column. Added a new form to edit airport-redirections (redirect from one ICAO to another on import). In the airport-info form you can now switch between showing flights for the selected flightplan/last search and all flights to/from the airport being displayed. Added a new "Nearby Airports" tab-sheet to the Airport-info form, which shows a distance-sorted list of nearby airports. In the previous versions all new aircraft were automatically added to the selection of favorite aircraft. From version 1.11 you must manually choose which are your favorites (upgrading from a previous version, your current selection of favorites will NOT be changed). First letter of decoded-metar is now changed to uppercase, and a checkbox lets you decide if you want to perserve line-breaks in the decoded text copied to the clipboard. Switched position of "Save" and "Cancel" buttons in airport-info form, to match layout of other forms. Like elsewhere in the program, the airport search-browser now lists the icao-codes with an asterisk (*) for each airport that is a pseudo airport. Greatly improved the responsiveness/performance of the browser-forms, when searching for : Airports, Airlines and Aircraft. Managed to shave off a few 10th of a second loading/processing data at startup. Added support for additional Aircraft. Many of the Airports in the supplied data-files were updated likewise some new Airlines were added as well. Made the importer stronger to import flightplans where aircraft names are not in quotes, and multiweek days are written as "1/3" in stead of "10". Fixed: When manually redirecting an airport during import, the flightplan was not visualized corretly until re-loading the flightplan (e.g. restarting the program). Fixed: Closing the Enable/Disable-flightplan using other means than the close-button would not make the program re-load active flightplans afterwards. Fixed: Several of the combo-boxes on the airport-info form allowed text being entered into them. Fixed: Corrected an issue with map-caching. Pelle

TU-95MS Bear H Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Russian Air Force 37th Air Army operates the TU-95MS (TU-95M 55 Bear H) from the 182th TBAP unit based in Zavitinsk and 6213 BKHUAT based at Engels Air Base in the Moscow Region. It's use is primarily in maritime operations. She carries cruise missiles even if only used for submarine comms. Her initial design is a competitor with the B-52, but uses 4 Turboprop engines with 8 contra-rotating props. She can fly about as far as, but not as high as the B-52, nor can she fly as fast. She is often monitored off the coast of Alaska and easily met with F-22 Raptors every time. She is also often met by NATO fighters near European borders. Since 45,000 feet is about the highest she can cruise, most fighters can meet her. Her real danger is the cruise missiles which, if launched, have a range more than 1,500 nm and can pinpoint any directed target using GPS ground control. She is normally flown in formations of 3 or more, but sometimes only 2 are observed. She is not designed to fly fast over low terrain, like the B-52, but can do-so if necessary, and dangerously. The aircraft has not seen any major improvements or modifications since the cold war era, and several have crashed due to lack of maintenance. It is currently unknown how many are in service condition. Since much is unknown about this aircraft, yet enough is known to re-create an authentically working model, I have done-so here. Every bit of the aircraft.cfg file and associated .air file has been re-worked to match what known data can offer, and known aerodynamic formulas can equate. The most difficult aspect is the Turboprop aspect, since Turboprop engines do not work like jet engines in any way. Luckily for the simmer, there is no need to adjust feathering or anything like that would be necessary in a normal Turboprop because these engines are self-adjusting. Even though they meet the full known specs of the real engines, I have actually worked all the math to make them actual Turboprop engines (not pseudo-jet engines). That may sound exciting, but you must remember that she is a prop-driven aircraft, and not a jet. Even though you can fly her like a jet, the engines do not adjust like a jet. All aspects have been configured to meet realistic standards, including the MOI factors, weight/balance (including payload positions), gear locations, aircraft dimensions, light positions, engine smoke locations and operations, and weight. I did not simply throw this together, but have been perfecting her for many years. Original Modeler/Sounds: Vladimir Zhyhulskiy (2006); Panel: Marco Spada; Auto Smoke Effects: Richard Wisman; Aero/Engine Dynamics, effects, and details: Douglas E. Trapp, FS Flight Dynamics Engineer, [email protected], November 2018.
