This is a repaint for the SGA DC9-30 by Lewis Maynard, depicting Douglas DC-9, VH-TJK "Douglas Mawson", in 1970's / early 80's TAA "Big T" colour scheme - in my opinion, the most beautiful TAA scheme of all. Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints.
This texture represents "Big Gas Bird" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 385th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.The B-17G started seeing action with the 385th in November, 1943 and continued until the end of the war. The Checkerboard group markings on the tail were adopted in February, 1945.
