File Description:
Alternate daytime water environment files that affect the appearance of water when using the 1X mid and 1X high settings, as I find the defaults result in a too bright and intense blue water colour. These will tone it down to what I feel is a more realistic shade. These will not alter the effects when using 2X water settings, but if you find your system will not handle the 2X settings or you prefer the 1X settings, you may prefer these.

| TACAN Replacements, Waypoints & Routes - UK Modern |

File Description:
By default, all of the TACAN navigational aids present within FSX have the bearing component turned off, so as to properly represent the real world result of tuning in the DME component of a TACAN with a civilian plane. However, this limits their functionality when you wish to use them in conjunction with a plane (generally military) equipped with a representation of a functioning TACAN system.
This download contains replacements for all of the currently active TACAN ground stations present in the UK, along with custom TACAN route waypoints as well as UK MIL AIP documentation and maps. These allows the user to fly the TACAN routes as per real world operations, as well as use TACAN approach charts.

I was flying around the FSX world looking for a real world sloping airstrip just begging to be modeled with a touchdown tire squealing, smoking rubber - that kind of hardened surface sloping runway after I finally figured out how to persuade the FSX SDK to compile one. The Airfield Candidate shall have high density LiDAR elevation and high resolution Orthoimagery data available for public download. I was flying a Beechcraft Baron 58 over Wanaque Reservoir in Northeast NJ of all places when I happened upon a photo scenery runway on a sloping hill top without the usual FSX flattened airport plateau effect and FSX textured runway. All former versions of the C-5 have completed the conversion to C-5M, to date. They include more efficient engines with more power, a glass cockpit, longer range and heavier lift capabilities. Other than those aspects, they look the same as before. VERY BIG!!! She is the largest cargo aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force and several other countries who have purchased her. I suggest reading about this aircraft on-line, and watching a few You Tube videos before your first flight, but do as you wish. She is very easy to fly, and all C-5M pilots agree with this statement. This version is based at Dover AFB, and the callsign is real. The refurbished aspects of this FSX model include extremely realistic engine/aerodynamics as well as payload distribution. The landing gear have also been corrected for realism. What this plane does in the simulator is what it does realistically. The panel is close to real, but takes time to understand and use properly. The sounds used are very realistic, so no need to change that unless you feel the need to do so. Flying her is pretty easy. If you are a Real World C-5 Pilot, you will find this version is very accurate. Read the text document enclosed entitled "Readmenow" after unzipping the file.

A "What if" repaint of a USMC RAZBAM Convair F/A-201A Kestrel assigned to the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program (SFTI program) NAS Miramar, better known as TOPGUN !! This is the second of the Topgun series, this time with three different green colors and yes, those are very hard to distinguish.
But only if the Kestrel ever made it beyond the drawing board, and was selected instead of a version of the YF-17 wich evolved as to the well known F/A-18A Hornet.
For this repaint you need a legal copy of the RAZBAM F/A-201A Kestrel.

| A good lesson on navigation plus missing Harlowton NDB |

File Description:
This add-on adds a missing Harlowton NDB near the 'Whiteland Co at Harlowton' airport, Harlowton, Montana, USA. Now re-reading what I have written in the readme, I realize that it is too large readme file for such a tiny add-on. So it's better to consider the story in the section (2) as the main part of it, and the missing NDB for FS as a bonus :) It is a story of one of my virtual flights which served me as a good lesson on navigation and flight planning. I hope, it will be a good lesson to everyone.
Also links provided in section (7) a very useful indeed.

Also included is a launch bar config enableing the launch assist for the default FSX acceleration cattapult launch for carrier ops.
There is also a carrier take of guide in PDF format for carrier take offs, the take off guide and launch assist only apply for acceleration users.

I have created the next in, The Most Dangerous Airport Mission Series: namely Ronald Reagan. This is a mission was real scheduled from Airtran and this particular approaches very unusual. The Ronald Reagan Visual Runway 19 approach is rated as a dangerous approach. The runway heading is in line with the White House Grounds and flying over these grounds is restricted. So what now. Simple, approaches from the west. No, not at all. One starts upstream follow the river and then make a right hand turn very close to the airport. Good luck.
