United Airlines Boeing 767-200ET

File Description:
Registration N606UA. "City of Chicago" was delivered to United Airlines on August 19, 1982 - the very first 767 delivery. Over the years, it has gone through an upgrade to "ET" for United's European expansion and flown throughout United's major North American and European routes. Here is a rendition of the aircraft, as it looked in the mid-1990s, dirty and faded-out, still wearing the old colors. Original by Project Opensky.

United Airlines Boeing 747-400

File Description:
Registration N185UA. This repaint is presented in United's previous livery which was in use through 1992. Currently, United is withdrawing up to a third of its 747 fleet, including this example, from service as it goes through Chapter 11 reorganization. This repaint is based on Project OpenSky's Gmax-based Version 3 visual model, which incorporates bending wings, turning wheels, opening doors, and sophisticated effects.

United 727-222 Current Colors

File Description:
A United 727-222 in current colors. These planes were retired in November of 2001, but is still a favorite. Included is a modified lightmap, to adjust for UA's using the right side for the galleys. This plane also uses 9 different LOD (levels of detail) models, which means that as the plane gets visually smaller, the model displayed becomes simpler and simpler, thus reducing the drag on your computer.
