File Description:
YCRW Crawley Bay USAF Catalina Base - QANTAS base (Historic 1942). This location was where the famous double sunrise flights left for Lake Koggala in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) between 1943 and 1946. Suited to Rick Stone's PBY5A Catalina. The USAF used the north side of the point and QANTAS used what is now the boat ramp at Nedlands. Remember, Perth was only about two or three stories high in those days so for a realistic enactment, totally overload the aircraft (towards the front) and just point between the buildings until you gain some height. To cover the distance, cruise at about 110kts and 500 feet. Don't forget the passengers stand at the front on takeoff and can be seated after you are in the air. | US Navy Super Constellation "Paisano Dos" of OASU/VX-8/VXN-8 |

File Description:
NC121K BuNo 145925 assigned to US Navy squadron OASU/VX-8-VXN-8 circa 1966.
This aircraft flew missions for Project Magnet and has a number of different
paint schemes over it's life time (1962-1970). The "orange-white" scheme
shown here is the one I saw while serving with the squadron.
These repaints are for Mike Stone's original aircraft model with tip tanks
and require base pack "sconnie.zip" available on Mike Stone's web site:

This is an excellent version of the earlier versions of the Hornet (C and D models), and has been described as the "crotch-rocket of fighter aircraft." This packet includes a repaint of the US NAVY (USN) tri-colour scheme. Based
on B/W photo's. The aircraft (SNJ-4) was stationed Naval Air Station Jacksonville
in 1943 during WWII. Not clear or the "157" was just a instruction airframe
or a operational aircraft.
The "157" was was displayed on various photo's with USN WAVES woman at work
