Learner Aircraft --Cessna 172-- Download

File Description:
This is the standard FSX Cessna 172 with a custom panel to enhance learning the principles of Flight and Navigation. Large gauges are on the panel plus digital readouts for most of the gauges so that there will be no guessing of the readings. The view over the panel is 50% larger than the default Cessna 172. Not on the panel are most of the non-flying gauges such as fuel gauges, engine instruments, engine controls, etc. The intent was to keep the panel uncluttered. Thanks to Norman Hancock and Dave Bitzer for the non-standard gauge designs, and to Tom Goodrick for the great auto-start/auto-stop flight timer and to Kyle Copeland for the fine panel Bitmap. Easy install self-extracting file. By Charles Wood.

National Lockheed L1011 TriStar Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a fictional re-paint in National colors for the Aerosim L1011 TriStar model found in the Aerosim Classic liners volume 2. As you might know National did favor the DC-10 Tri-Jet and never operated the Lockheed TriStar that I know of. So I got an idea that I wanted to see the National livery on a TriStar and here it is for you to try out. National was also known for naming their Aircraft so I named this repaint Trista. This livery features: * my new 1 and 3 engine nacelle textures with custom inlets as well * Photo Real N-1 fan blade set * PhotoReal rudder pedals for the VC cockpit * a splash of night lighting on 1 and 3 engine nacellles * 32 bit textures an no mips

AirTran Airways Boeing 717 'Last Ship Delivered' Download

File Description:
This is a "pixel by pixel" repaint of the excellent SGA MD-95 in current AirTran livery, with details taken from my observations working the ramp in Orlando, FL. This re-paint was inspired by the upcoming delivery of the very last 717 ever built and bears the final registry and ship number. I have included a separate engine texture for those who would like the "teal color" engines. This is purely fictional and not an official livery change. Simply replace the original "engine_t.bmp" file with the one in the "teal engine" folder. I hope you will enjoy flying with this as much as I enjoyed my first steps into the re-paint world. All Texture files are 32 bit BMP's with alpha. It may take time to load depending on your system!

Rans S7c Courier on Tundra Tires Download

File Description:
Two seats in tandem, high wing, tractor, taildragger. Full enclosure with doors. Dope and fabric covering process. Standard engine, Rotax 912S-100hp. The aircraft is flown solo from the front seat. Full dual controls. Equipped with the Rotax 100 HP 912S engine, the Courier leaps into the air in less than 325 feet. Lifting off short means little if you can’t haul a load. 500 pounds of payload puts the Courier in the "do something, go somewhere" class. Tough spring steel gear and effective Cleveland Brakes let you do that something in places previously passed by. The gentle nature of this taildragger will encourages the newcomer and compliments the seasoned. Developed in the land of daily crosswinds (Kansas), the Courier is good for 20 KTS. at 90 degrees – more if you know a few tricks.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world... Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
The Christen Eagle freeware model produced by the Long Island Classics team is fast becoming a cult flyer for the sheer fun factor. This paint is a fictional skin depicting an Eagle I would love to have . Thanks to the paintkit provided by the LIC team, this repaint also includes changed interiors, including the pilot! (It's me!). As an extra bonus, I have included a couple of lines to change the standard single smoke trail to a twin smoke trail - see the readme for details.
