This FSX repaint depicts how the new 747-8i variant would appear in the mid 2000's livery of Brazilian carrier Varig.
The aircraft was hand painted using the PMDG paint kit and features DDS DXT5 textures and includes custom fuselage and tail night lighting with increased illumination and custom cockpit views.
PMDG 747-400X for FSX and 747-8i/8F add-on packages are BOTH required. See read-me.txt for important installation instructions and enjoy the repaint.

She also has flexing wings which are amazing to see as you lift off, and esp. in heavy turbulance!!!! Also, the model includes interior wing views so you can view them as a passenger! This works for both FS9 and FSX. Tested in FSX. FS9 model used.
For FSX users make sure you have UNCHECKED "Aircraft casts shadows on the ground" under the Aircraft - Exterior Settings in FSX to make any FS9-based model visible during the day!
Texture quality; FSX Native: DDS DXT5 with alpha. FS9 Native: BMP DXT3 with alpha.
FSX Light Fix included in the DDS night texture.
Custom Light Map. Custom Shadows, Highs, Weathering as usual...
Included repaint is for the following model; AI Shorts SD3-30 from HTAI.
Model is available on AVSIM, FlightSim.com or on the author/developers site.
You need the basekit for this to work!!
Do make sure you copy the texture folder(s) in the respective folder.
