Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this classic aircraft of modern military history.
This is an original 8-LOD model, with many animations and features thanks to a growing confidence in XML-coding and making FSDS work for me instead of the other way around.
Nicknamed "The Last Gunfighter", this aircraft was the last production aircraft for the US Navy and Marine Corps which used guns as primary armament, and was in service at the twilight of this age, as well as the dawn of the missile age. Like all combat-experience aircraft, it had a relatively short life during its operational use (only about twenty years or so as a fighter), but was used a little longer as a recce aircraft; and beyond that in export service to France and the Philippines. The Crusader was used extensively in combat operations in Vietnam, played a crucial role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and gave the newer F-4 Phantoms a fair run for their money in terms of air combat capability during this time. It is interesting to note that the 'elderly' F-8 Crusader had a better kill overall ratio in air combat in Vietnam than its F-4 successor.
This is the fourth and final part of this model series, covering the export French F-8E(FN) and Philippine F-8P base models; with a total of 20 model options and 77 paints. Additionally, with this release I am including a universal PSD paint kit which will serve all variants. Base model and paint by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael McIntyre.

Tupolev Tu-95 Bear (Part 3). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military history, which still soldiers on as a formidable strategic bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. The mighty Bear, with around 500 built, evolved from the Tu-114 airliner, and is arguably the fastest (and loudest) turboprop aircraft in history. A simple no-frills turboprop design combined with a heavy payload and ridiculous airborne endurance (20+ hours); and the Bear has established itself as the iconic Soviet/Russian symbol of strategic force projection, easily the counterpart to the American B-52 Stratofortress. An original 9-LOD model brings this historic beast to the flightsim world. This package contains the late "M" series Bears, to include Tu-95MS-6 and Tu-95MS-16; with a total of 3 models and 34 repaints. Lockheed F-104A/B Starfighter (Republic of China Air Force), aka the Zipper, Coffin Nail, Flying Coffin, or Missile with a Man in It (in untrained hands it resembles a lawn dart). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this hotrod of military jet history. Going into production in 1955, this aircraft was manufactured, directly or by license, by 6 countries, and served the air forces of 17 countries. Late examples served until 2004, nearly fifty years after its introduction. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the F-104A/B in the service of the Republic of China Air Force; with a total of 6 models and 28 repaints. I am also including some optional variants with manual install instructions, on a separate document in the zip file. Going into production in 1955, this aircraft was manufactured, directly or by license, by 6 countries, and served the air forces of 17 countries. Late examples served until 2004, nearly fifty years after its introduction. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the F-104G in the service of the Royal Danish Air Force; with a total of 12 models and 32 repaints; and additionally represents the Canadair CF-104s used by Denmark. The DC9-51 brings a new aircraft fully compatible with FS2002 also seems compatible with FS2004 with some slight issues relating to the fuel / payload settings, we recommend you do not attempt to change this if running FS2004. You will find it made completely in Gmax. It features the latest reflection including dynamic shine, lighting, and animation technology including accurate flaps, landing gears, and thrust reversers and dynamic wing and engine views. This is a second release in a line of MD aircraft. The FDE is the superb FDE by Sam Chin with modifications by Mike Baumann (C)(2003), and the model is by Jonathan Stewart and Erick Cantu. This aircraft is truly a multi-group effort, one of many to come. The model itself is evidenced of this. The complete model is done by FlightFX. The lighting effects are by SGA. Base Textures by Erick Cantu, Mike Baumann and Takehiro Nakamura.
