Avianca "Alianza Summa" McDonnell Douglas MD83 (EI-CER) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Repaint of the payware CLS McDonnell Douglas MD81/82 in real world livery of Avianca for MD83 EI-CER. This livery was used in 2005-2006 as part of the Alianza Summa branding for the airline. The aircraft was repainted in 2007 in the later Red Avianca style. There were a few variations of the livery for the MD83 fleet in 2005 and I have included some alternate textures to support pilot preference. There are a pair of engine textures, one with the www.summa.aero address on the engine covers, and a pair of right side fuselage textures, one with the red stripes on the radio antenna below the fuselage.

MAC Douglas DC-7C Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Thanks to a major investment in 1964 by some large Dutch shipping companies, the 1958 founded Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter, proud owner of a fleet of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove, four Douglas C-47, and one Douglas C-54B, was able to purchase from KLM one Convair 340 and one Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas aircraft. On 27 February 1964 the DC-7C PH-DSO was delivered at Schiphol. In November 1964 and May 1965 PH-DSL and PH-DSC were also bought from KLM. A fourth one, PH-MAK which has not been included in this package, was acquired from Alitalia. The great advantages of the DC-7C over the much smaller C-54B were its pressurised fuselage, its huge flying range and its payload, which was almost twice the C-54's payload. It was a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From September 1968 till late October 1968, PH-DSL, all white with red crosses applied to the wings, fuselage and fin, flew on the Biafra airlift from the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf of the Dutch Red Cross. With the exception of PH-MAK which was sold to Spain in 1967, MAC's DC-7C's soldiered on till late 1968/early 1969 when they were sold. These are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-7C Base Pack and DC-7 Base Pack (available at http://www.calclassic.com/dc7c.htm). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

P-51D Mustang "Upupa Epops" Download

File Description:
This is a repaint pack only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. P-51D 44-72364 was built at the North American Aviation Inglewood plant in 1944. It was sent into action with the 353rd Fighter Group, 352nd Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. The aircraft was flown by Capt. Harrison "Bud" Tordoff, who named it "Upupa Epops", latin for the Hoopoe Bird which has ungainly flight. At war's end Bud Torduff had claimed nine enemy airplanes shot down, one of them an Me-262 shot down while flying "Upupa Epops." After the war the aircraft was sent to the Royal Swedish Air Force, then flew with the Dominican Air Force from 1952 until 1984. Paul Allen, of Microsoft fame, purchased the aircraft in 1999, adding it to his growing muesum, the Flying Heritage Collection. The aircraft immediately went to WestPac, in California, for restoration. During this time period it was restored inside and out, matching every component to every specification of the original, utilizing documents upon documents of information. When the aircraft completed restoration in 2001, it was the most original, most authentic of its type. After several test flights in its factory finish, the original "Upupa Epops" markings were applied. Currently the aircraft can be seen at its newest home, with the Flying Heritage Collection, at Paine Field, near Seattle. Included within this download are two repaints, one portrays exactly how "Upupa Epops" looked when it rolled out of WestPac's shop after restoration, in factory standard, and the second portrays the aircraft complete with markings.

B-24 USAAF 489th BG "Sharon D" Download

File Description:
This Ford-built B-24H was assigned to Lt Col Leon Vance, deputy commander of the 489th BG. It was Vance who had brought the aircraft from the US to Halesworth. The bomber was named after its pilot’s infant daughter Sharon, who had been born in 1942. Lt Col Vance was flying a different aircraft on the 5 June 1944 mission against a German coastal defence complex near Wimereaux, France-a mission in which the latter aircraft was lost, and for which Vance was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was the only B-24 crew member in the Eighth Air Force accorded this distinction whilst flying a mission from the UK. Vance was heading home to recover from combat wounds when he went down on a C-54 Skymaster carrying wounded and crippled veterans over the North Atlantic on 26 July 1944. In October 1946, at the age of four, Sharon Vance travelled via US Army Air Forces transport to Enid, Oklahoma (now home of Vance Air Force Base), for a ceremony in which Maj Gen James P Hodges gave her the Medal of Honor awarded to her father. Today, daughter Sharon Kiernan of San Diego, California, is an Air Force wife, and she helps to keep alive the memory of her father, and of the bomber named after her. The Sharon D retained its nickname throughout the war, and was eventually transferred to the 445th BG. It survived the conflict, and was eventually broken up for scrap. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for the AlphaSim 2008 Consolidated B-24 Liberator

Asiana Airlines 1998 AI Package Download

File Description:
Asiana and Korean Air had full control of the Korean domestic market in 1998 as South Korea's only 2 scheduled airlines, making them appear at the vast majority of Korean airports. 737-500s were exiting the fleet, with only 3 remaining, and the first A321 had just come online. International routes were flown by 747-400 Combis or 767-300s, with several "tag on" routes onward from Seoul. Asiana served many commercial airports in Japan with 737-400s at the time, and is an important part of the Japanese traffic as well. The carrier had 2 737-500s and it's first A321 painted in a special "Experimental Color Scheme"(EC), and this is represented in the flightplans. One 737-500 also remained in a slightly different older livery dubbed as the "1994" colors, while the rest of the fleet had been modified to the "1998" colors. As a BONUS, ranmori has painted the 747-400, 747-400M and 737-400 in the 1994 livery for use with those flightplans, though there is no use for them in these 1998 plans. Repaints included for the FAIB 737-400, 737-500, 767-300, 747-400, and A321. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe, flightplans done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. File Description:
This is a repaint of the HS-748 Srs2A in Zambia Airways colors. The freeware HS-748 by Rick Piper is needed for this repaint. The HS-748s, first delivered in 1970, played a major part in the domestic network of Zambia Airways by carrying the bulk of the passengers over the years. They were eventually replaced by two chartered Avions de Transport Regional ATR42-320s, which arrived in May and June 1988, and entering service in July. This is a repaint of 9J-ABK, which was purchased new in 1970 and was eventually sold in 1989. Textures are 1024 32bit dds. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.
