A repaint for the A2A Cessna 172 Skyhawk in the colors of G-BCYR, a Reims F172M (c/n 17201288) registered in the UK. In october 2013, this aircraft was involved in an incident during which the pilot became unwell (and later died in hospital) and the passenger, who had no previous flying experience, managed to land the aircraft at Humberside Airport with help from an instructor in the tower. G-PWUL is an RV6 owned by Phillip Woolley, the MD of 911sport., a Porsche dealer based in Lincolnshire. (that's in the UK) As far as I can gather she was started in 2006 and completed in 2008. She is testament to the fact that not all the pretty RVs belong to Americans!
You don't own Baytower's RV7 yet? Well trot along and buy one, then you can use this repaint AND do so feeling righteous. :-)

G-GDMW livery by Leen "Flybike" de Jager, for the Leading Edge Simulations
"Beechcraft Duchess".
Its always very rewarding adding something to an existing model using new possibilities given by newer versions of X-Plane.
Low res version for XP9 included also.
This time I used the higher texture-resolution and added some more bumpmapping for in- and exterior.
To achieve this all I had to edit some OBJ files (with kind permission from L.E.S.) to activate things like gloss and the bumpmap-effect.
Adding this skinset to the Duchess all liveries will benefit some of the enhances from this skinset too ( e.g. normalmapping for main wing and yokes and an overall a bit more attractive look).
Unzip G-GDMW to a temp. folder and have a good look at the readme.

File Description:
This is a representation of G-IMAD, of the Dekeleia Aeroclub based in Tatoi LGTT, north of Athens. It is used both for training and for flights by all club members holding a PPL. It is also available for pleasure flights and initiation flights for non members. It came to the club from the UK and still keeps its UK registration but this may change soon.
The actual plane is an older "P" model with carburetor equipped engine so there are several model differences from the "R" represented by A2A including antennae, and very different cockpit with no headrests and different door interior and instrument panel. The tinted cabin glass has been reproduced in the repaint.
