FSX Grumman F9F RNLN VSQ3 LATE

File Description:
This livery represents a fictional "What if" repaint of the magnificent payware Grumman F9F-5 by VertigoStudios in a Royal Netherlands Navy Livery. The aircraft resembles what it would look like if the Dutch government chose the Grumman F9F Panther over the Hawker Seahawk as their primary attack fighter operating from the sole Dutch Navy aircraft carrier from the late 40-ies till the early 60-ies; the HRMS Karel Doorman (CV, R81, Colossus Class). The Dutch navy operated two other aircraft carriers prior to this one (small MAC escort carriers, which were basically modified tankers), but the R81 was the first and only real aircraft carrier ever operational within the Royal Netherlands Navy, and to operate jet-fighters from. This particular livery of the F9F is in a typical grey & duck-egg green pattern resembling all Dutch naval aircraft of that era, carrier- and land based. This livery with the "V" marking denotes that the aircraft has NAS Valkenburg as home base instead of the (back then) available aircraft carrier "Karel Doorman", of which all aircraft were marked with a "D". You need the payware VertigoStudios F9F for FSX in order to use this repaint.

Hopping Round The World Adventure - Pack 20

File Description:
My most difficult pack yet! I almost lost my bird on more than one ocassion. This HRW Adventure pack is how real-world pilots get into trouble. You might lose your plane during some critical phases of flight. Don't wreck your friend's LearJet. Things to ponder: Haven't used your de-icer yet in FS2004-you will unless you want ice buildup. Since AI pilots are bold enough to take off and land during these conditions I did the same. Everything starts out OK before it all goes bad quickly. You will run into a severe winter storm and unforgiving crosswinds and heavy winds for that matter. There is so much going on in this pack you will have little time to enjoy seeing Niagra Falls and the Statue of Liberty. Look for both once you take off. The only newbie in this pack is the iFDG 767. If this is how unforgiving winter is there is no telling what's in store once we head up next to Canada again, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Greenland and then onto Iceland. Well if you are still in one piece come join me. 207 takeoffs/landings and 32,970 miles flown so far.

City Builder Tool

File Description:
The tool (a 50 kb Java application) provides a GUI where you just click and place bases, rivers, blocks, churchs, parks, runway, solarplants etc.
Then you click "produce" and the tool writes your My_Cool_Base.cfg file for your OrbiterConfig folder.
In this way I build my home town, with parks and churchs, and I take off from there, now ...

Note: this is an alpha version from the "features point of view", but it is almost a beta release from the "testing point of view". In other words (I know Avsim requires at least beta's) the tool works well, simply it is not completed (some features are missing).
I made this tool just for fun. So, if you really think is worthy going on with it, or that it's a funny/useful tool, please let me know.
If I see that the tool is useful for the Orbiter community, I will complete it more quickly and I will post a real beta release in a couple of weeks.

REMARK: you need Java to run this tool!

Air Canada (New colors) Boeing 757-200

File Description:
This Boeing 757-200 has been painted with the new Air Canada scheme. Even if the company doesn't own any 757s, I've carefully painted the scheme as precise as I could. The quality of the work is almost as good as “photo real” paint. I've re-mastered almost the whole aircraft except the interior cabin, cargo bay and part of the wings. All the rest of the plane, I mean: the exterior day and night textures and also the entire alpha effect are brand new. Equipped with Rolls Royce engines as Air Canada usually equip most of their fleet. This paint is dedicated to Pascal Mcduff; a good friend of mine who is a flight attendant for Air Canada. I wish him the best luck and experiences.
