Still fresh from their days with the American Volunteer Group in China, whose P-40s were adorned
with shark's teeth, the founders of Flying Tigers perpetuated this theme on their recently purchased
C-47s. This Bill Larkins photo was taken at San Francisco in 1946. FTL operated approximately
a dozen or so before gradually acquiring the more capacious C-46s and later C-54s.
NC59699 (c/n 13061) was an ex C-47A-20-DK, USAAF serial 42-93178 civlianized in 1946.
When sold by Tigers it went to India as VT-CTZ.
This is my first ever repaint for FSX. It could have been nicer, but the paintkit is hell to work with, with overlapping parts of fuselage and severe warping, asymetrical overlapping and mirroring on the nose textures. Included are repaints of the VW van, interior headrests with Tiger Line logo and stewardess.

This package adds four diferent new models and textures of the C-47A.
- Douglas C-47A Buffalo Airways C-GPNR
- Douglas C-47A Northwest Territorial C-FNWS
- Douglas C-47A USAAF WWII 268830 "D-Day Doll"
- Douglas C-47A Air North CF-CUG "Lady Lou"
All 3D models were new. The textures are non-mirrored, and high resolution decals were created to provide extra detail to the airline logos, serial numbers and nose and tail artwork.
Each aircraft has its own model features and decal details, trying to be as close as the real life ones.

The order of Hellenic Air force it's for 22 (+3) C-27J. The HAF will use the Spartan for cargo transport, troop transport and material and paratroop air drop. The Douglas C-47 Dakota entered service in May 1946 on the Johannesburg - Durban route. The eight Dakotas came from the surplus SAAF Douglas C-47 inventory and were converted into passenger airliners by SAA. They were used all over Southern Africa until 1970. Textures only. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.
