Regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II together with the Fiat G-55 Centauro,the Macchi-Castoldi C.205 proved to be extremely effective in action, destroying a large number of Allied bombers and capable of successfully clashing on equal terms with such renowned fighters as the North American P-51D Mustang.Although the C.205 was able to match the best Allied opponents both in speed and maneuverability,it was introduced late during the conflict.Moreover,due to the poor Italian industrial capability of the time,only a small production run was delivered to combat units before the end of the war.Famous C.205 pilots are Italy's highest scoring ace Adriano Visconti and the top scoring C.205 Sergente Maggiore pilota (Sargeant Major pilot) Luigi Gorrini.To date,there's still debate about
Gorrini's score,since Regia Aeronautica preferred crediting units over individual combat achievements.
Gorrini's official aerial combat score is 19 victories,but,according to his memories,he achieved 7 more during his service with Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana (A.N.R.), flying a Macchi C.205. These victories did not enter his officiall tally due to political reasons,since the A.N.R. fought by the side of the German Luftwaffe after the Italian September 8th,1943 armistice.These bring his total tally to 26 victories,making him the top scoring Italian fighter ace of WWII.For his combat record with the A.N.R he was awarded twice by the Luftwaffe with the Iron Cross First and Second Class.Luigi Gorrini was also awarded for his actions,after the end of the war,with the highest Italian military decoration,the "Medaglia d'Oro al Valor Militare" (M.O.V.M.,Gold Medal for Military Valour).Last surviving Italian fighter pilot of WWII,he died recently at the age of 97 and this repaint is dedicated to his memory.

| Lockheed P-38L Italian Air Force 3 Stormo 3-12 |

This folder contains a repaint for the MIlviz P-38L, representing P-38L MM4260 3-21 as flown by the 3 Stormo of the Italian Air Force. After the war, Italy received 120 P-38s in an agreement dated April, 1946. Those heavy fighters, mainly P-38Ls, but also F-5s, were put in service in 4 Stormo. They flew reconnaissance missions over the Balkans, as well as ground attack, naval cooperation and air superiority missions. Delivered after a one-month refurbishing, they finally were all sent to AMI not before 1952. Other wings, like 3 Stormo, used the P-38 as well. Due at the big dimensions of this fighter, the old engines and pilot error, a very high number of P-38s, sadly, were lost in accidents. At least 30 crashes of P-38s in Italian service claimed a number of victims. Despite this, many Italian pilots liked the fighter, due to its excellent visibility on the ground and its stability at take off. Finally, P-38s were phased-out in 1956. Today, no Italian P-38s survive, nor even a single component from one, as these aircraft, with the value of light alloys, were quickly dismantled. This folder contains a repaint for the 'Little Friends' package of the Warbirdsim P-51D Mustang in the colors of #44-63675, in the colors of 26152, 'Gul Kalle' of F4 of the Royal Swedish Air Force, where it flew between 1947 and 1953, when it was sold to Nicaragua. Originally, this aircraft was E6-D "Sierra Sue II", whose colors were still visible on the fuselage below the Swedish colors.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Warbirdsim.

| ROC (Taiwan) 'Air Force One' Boeing 727-200 Ver. 2 |

File Description: ROCAF operated 4 Boeing 727s for VIP transport duties. This particular aircraft, number 2722, was used as presidential transport from 1991 to 1998.
Version 2 fixed the serial number on the left side nose of the aircraft. If you have downloaded version 1 before, please replace it with this.
This is a repaint of the Boeing 727-200 in the livery of Special Transport Squadron, Sungshan Base Command, ROC (Taiwan) Air Force, circa 1990s. Textures only. Requires FFX/SGA Boeing 727-200 package. Original model by FFX/SGA and textures by Phil Perlman.
