BrightStar Swift Download

File Description:
BrightStar Swift for FSX and FS2004...The SWIFT, for Swept Wing with Inboard Flap for Trim, was designed by a team at Stanford University led by Dr. Ilan Kroo, and developed through a collaborative effort with BrightStar Gliders as a high performance foot-launched sailplane, Although it is a fully-cantilevered rigid wing with aerodynamic controls and flaps, it weighs only about 100 lbs and is easily transported on the top of a car. Almost doubling the performance of conventional hang gliders at the time it was introduced,it dominated several competitions and was subsequently allowed to compete only in a separate class. Many pilots have flown the SWIFT for 100-200 miles. BrightStar originally manufactured SWIFTs in the U.S. but subsequently sold the licence to the Belgian company Aeriane This model made with g-Max features full aircraft animations and a running pilot during landing and take-off,detailed VC cockpit and custom built gauges. : September 2008

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!! Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints. This texture represents "Rhapsody in Red" one of the B-17G Flying Fortresses of the 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. The 91th BG, one of the more famous groups in the Eighth Air Force. "The Ragged Irregulars" were based at Bassingbourn, England. "Rhapsody in Red" Crew Members:1st Lt. Frank L. Adams, Pilot (0763887); 1st Lt. Monte B. Adams, Co-Pilot (0556018); 1st Lt. Harold W. P-51D Mustang "Frenesi" (N357FG) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware Warbirdsim P-51D "Mustang Tales" product. This repaint depicts the latest Mustang restoration to emerge from Midwest Aero Restorations, completely stock, which just had its first test flight from Danville, Illinois on January 30th. The aircraft is F-6K 44-12852 (restored as a P-51D), owned/operated by Dan Friedkin/Comanche Fighters, based in Texas. Sold surplus immediately following WWII, registered as NX66111, the aircraft was entered into the 1946 Cleveland Air Races as racer #80 "Full House", but its engine blew and was forced to crash-land. Later, the aircraft was sold to Jack Hardwick in the early 50's and crudely rebuilt, with a jump seat and rudimentary dual controls installed in the back of the cockpit, and would soon be sold onto the Dominican Air Force in 1954, becoming FAD 1900 (#2). The aircraft served with the Dominican AF until it was sold and imported back into the US by Brian O'Farrell in 1984. Made serviceable, the aircraft flew again on the US register as N21023 by 1990, and was sold to Jim Beasley Sr. and later owned/operated by Jim Beasley Jr., of Coatesville, PA (sharing hangar space with their P-51D "Bald Eagle"). During this time the aircraft was painted as "Frenesi", the personal mount of WWII 357th Fighter Group ace Gen. Tommy Hayes (the name inspired from a 1940 Artie Shaw tune). By the early 2000's, showing the effects of poor-quality work done on repairing/restoring the aircraft in the past, a complete rebuild of the airframe began. By 2009, the project was sold to Dan Friedkin, now registered as N357FG, and the restoration was continued at Midwest Aero Restorations, known for their award-winning authentic Mustang rebuilds. The aircraft has now emerged in early 2017, resplendent and flying again in the markings of "Frenesi".

Douglas C-47 French Navy (36) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for P3Dv4.5 PBR version of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 #36 of the French Navy (Aeronavale). Originally c/n9798 42-23936 it flew with the USAAF in North Africa and later in the ETO. It took part in D-Day, Market Garden and Operation Varsity, dropping parachutists. After WW2 it went to Ceskoslovenske Aeroline as OK-WDU and between 1958 and 1983 with the French navy as #36. It later went to Stellair and Transvalair in France as F-GEOM, before going to the UK as G-OFON with Classic Airways and later Air Atlantique. After a stint with South Coast Airways, it went to the Aviodrome in the Netherlands in 2006, where unfortunately it was left outside without protection. When the Aviodrome went bankrupt it went to Classic Wings, who are currently restoring it for static display in the Museum in Overloon. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 for P3Dv4.5, with PBR, Rivet and bump detail by Ted (Tufun) Wolfgang."

Fairchild 24 (VH-ALF) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Lionheart Fairchild 24, in the colors of VH-ALF.This aircraft (c/n 339) was built with the USAAC serial of 42-32134, and was shipped as part of the Lend Lease program to the U.K. becoming FK330. In 1948 it was civilianized as G-AKJL. It was first registered in Australia in July, 1951. Interestingly, the site athttp://home.att.net/~jbaugher/1942_2.html states that it was returned to the USA in 1947. That being the case, did the USA state that they didn't want it, and return it to the U.K. again? If not, how then did it get to be registered in the the U.K. in 1948? Or maybe it WAS to have been returned but did not. Anyway, it was back at Lithgow, NSW in May 1973. At present, it is painted in a "war bird" livery, based at Wedderburn, NSW. Incidentaly, since this machine was an Argus I with the RAF it is extremely unlikely that it ever bore USAAF markings. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Lionheart Creations.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire LF IXc OO-ARE as it looked around 1960 when flying as a target tug with Cogea in Belgium. Originally NH238, it went to the Dutch Air Force in 1946, where it flew as H-60 and H-103. It went to the Belgian Air Force in 1952, becoming SM-36. It was sold to Cogea of Ostend in 1956, and was used as a target tug until 1961 with the registration OO-ARE. It was sold to the UK, becoming G-MKIX. It was dameaged from a ground fuel explosion in Exter in 1961, but restored again. It went to the US in 1969, where it became N238V, returning to the UK again in 1979. It was last flown as NH238/D-A, but it was removed from the registry in 2002. It is rumored to be in storage at Greenham Common. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

Air Jordan de Havilland DH-89a Rapide Download

File Description:
Aircraft history - c/n 6687 was built at Loughborough as a DH89B Dominie and had the RAF serial number NR811. Postwar, she was converted to a DH89A and became Channel Island Airways’ G-AGSK 27th Oct 1945, then went to Jordan in October 1953 as Air Jordan’s TJ-ABP. Some time between 1953 and 1956 the Jordanian registration letters changed from TJ- (TransJordan?) the JY-, and she became JY-ABP (TJ- is now Caneroons). I don’t know how long she survived after 56, but there’s a reference on the web to a photo of her wreckage. Airline history: Air Jordan was founded in 1950 by H E Ismail Bilbesi and was partly owned by Trans Ocean Airways. They initially flew Airspeed Consuls on domestic routes out of Amman, but later acquired some C-47s from Trans Ocean to fly the Amman – Kuwait – Kandahar – Kabul route (could be a DC-3 Airways charter there!). In 1960, they acquired a DC-6, and they went bust in ’61. There routes were taken over by Jordan Airways (aka Jordanian).

Global Supply Systems PMDG Boeing 747-400 Version 2 Download

File Description:
This is a repaint of a Global Supply Systems Boeing 747-400 (G-GSSA) for use with the PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies. You MUST have purchased a valid copy of the PMDG 747 in order to use this repaint. This repaint does attempt to recreate the freighter version of the 747-400. I DO realise there are major differences between PAX and F versions (especially the size of the upper deck), but due to small demand at my virtual airline British Airways Virtual, I have applied the textures to the PAX model. For the proper model, you'll have to wait for the PMDG 747 Freighter, which is currently in development. This is version 2 of a previous release, and addresses many things that were incorrect (Tail to Fuselage joining, Larger Grey Underside, Registration Font, Gear Door colour, Light Map). Those who have just got version 1 or version 1 and the fix MUST download this file in order to benefit from the changes. Apologies to the inconvienience caused with the release of all previous updates (now deleted).
