File Description:
The town of Barrow is in the far north of Alaska, and these are coastal villages or radar installations to the west and south of Barrow. There will be further additions. Atqasuk PATQ is 55 miles south of Barrow and is unusual in that it is one of the few settlements of the North Slope that is not on the coast. It is, however, on a narrow winding river that reaches the sea to the east of Barrow and seemingly provides fish in abundance. There could well be other good reasons for the village to be where it is, but they are unknown to me. The population is around 250. The airfield is to the south of the village and the runway is 4,900 feet of gravel aligned 06-24, lit, and with PAPI at each end.

ConocoPhillips is Alaska's largest oil and gas producer with significant ownership interests in two of North America's largest oil fields located on Alaska's North Slope & Kuparuk, which ConocoPhillips Alaska operates, and Prudhoe Bay. The company also has a significant operating interest in the Alpine field on the Western North Slope, as well as adjacent Alpine satellite fields. ConocoPhillips Alaska headquarters are located in Anchorage. Includes the Alaska fleet as well as the ERJ135LR that shuttles between Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Houston Bush twice per day. Flights taken from FlightAware for the week of February 27- March 5, 2011.

| Bettles PABT in Alaska |

File Description:
Bettles is around 175 miles north of Fairbanks in ALaska, and 25 miles north of the Arctic Circle. It is also where James "Andy" Andersen started flying for Wien Airlines and where he spent the 20 years between 1947 and 1967. Read "Arctic Bush Pilot" by Andy and Jim Rearden for his story of those 20 years flying the bush. Bettles PABT is the gravel strip and due to the limitations of FS9 AI the float base on the adjacent river has to be separately named PABX. Bettles village (old Bettles) used to be 2 miles southwest of the field, but has now slowly relocated close to the strip. In this download there is an AFCAD folder, landclass folders, a scenery folder, and a traffic folder. You will need Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada.
