Skylab 2 Mission Download

File Description:
The Skylab space station was launched May 14, 1973, from the NASA Kennedy Space Center by a huge Saturn V launch vehicle, the moon rocket of the Apollo Space Program. Sixty-three seconds after liftoff, the meteoroid shield--designed also to shade Skylab's workshop --deployed inadvertently. It was torn from the space station by atmospheric drag. This event and its effects started a ten-day period in which Skylab was beset with problems that had to be conquered before the space station would be safe and habitable for the three manned periods of its planned eight-month mission. skylab 2 25 May 1973 13:00 GMT. Duration: 28.03 days. Call Sign: Skylab. Backup Crew: McCandless, Musgrave, Schweickart. Nation: USA. Agency: NASA. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral . Launch Complex: LC39B. Launch Vehicle: Saturn IB . LV Configuration: Saturn IB s/n SA-206. Program: Skylab. Class: Manned. Type: Lunar spacecraft. Spacecraft: Apollo CSM. Payload : Apollo CSM 116. Mass: 19,979 kg. Location of Spacecraft: Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola, FL. Perigee: 427 km. Apogee: 439 km. Inclination: 50.0 deg. Period: 93.2 min. Epic repair mission which brought Skylab into working order. Included such great moments as Conrad being flung through space by the whiplash after heaving on the solar wing just as the debris constraining it gave way; deployment of a lightweight solar shield, developed in Houston in one week, which brought the temperatures down to tolerable levels. With this flight US again took manned spaceflight duration record.

Micro Flight 5 Download

File Description:
Micro Flight is a state of the art flight simulator specializing in simulating ultralight flying vehicles and micro meteorological conditions. Unlike other flight simulators, Micro Flight simulates the intricate flow of air over the ground and the effects of thermals created by the sun, making it ideal for simulating gliders of all types. Micro Flight also simulates types of vehicles not simulated by other general aviation programs, such as: Hanggliders, Paragliders, Gyroplanes, Helicopters, Trikes, Balloons and more. Flight instrumentation and navigational aids were made to resemble real ones, this includes the hand held GPS, standard flight instruments, head up display and more. The whole enviroment which the user interacts with is three dimentional, even operating the instruments in the cockpit is made by manipulating them with the mouse and not just by pressing keys. The terrain model used is detailed and optimized, giving the terrain a photorealistic look while still maintaing a high frame rate during run. The program supports a wide variety of scenery formats, and can import aerial photography and USGS digital elevation data directly. The program includes flight recording and anaylis, giving the user the ability to study the flight in detail and export it's path in digital form for any purpose. The program has netplay mode which enables users to fly and communicate with each other. All this and more make the program a unique and valueable tool for flight simulation. Category: Flight Simulator 2004 - AFCAD Files
La Guardia Download

File Description:
A high quality AFCAD2 file the New York La Guardia (KLGA) scenery by Shehryar Ansari. This file features assigned gates for all airlines that currently serve LGA. In order to ensure only 'mainline' aircraft use the jetbridges, a new 'Express' apron for Dash 8 and RJ size aircraft is provided near the Central Terminal and also adjacent to the US Air and Delta Terminals. An extensive GA parking area has also been added to the west side of the airport and includes 4 Helipads. A tower view is provided for the airport and both runways are also in use to maximize traffic flow. The Marine Terminal (Delta Shuttle) and US Airways (Shuttle) areas now have seperate parking codes. The txt for these codes is included in this zip, to add to your 'ParkingSpecs' document. Every available space at this airport has been used to provide a total of 140 parking positions, comprising 42 gates for regional jets, 59 gates for mainline aircraft, 4 Cargo Ramps and 35 GA ramps. A very easy to use tutorial explaining how to make AI Delta Shuttle aircraft use only the Marine Terminal and US Air Shuttle aircraft only use the US Shuttle Terminal is included. This package also includes screenshots showing the effects that this file has on your AI traffic. Requires the excellent scenery addon LGA2004.zip by Shehryar Ansari. This file is not recommended to be used with the default FS airport.

F-5A Freedom Fighter 'Aegean Blue' Hellenic Air Force Download

File Description:
This is a superb aircraft I used to fly as a Hellenic Air Force pilot. This is an "Aegean Blue" repaint flown in service of 343rd Squadron of Hellenic Air Force during the '90ties. The F-5 Freedom Fighter was a very succesfull aircraft during its 30 year carrer in HAF as a fighter, bomber, multy role aircraft until the early months 2001 when finaly released by active duty. This "F-5A_HAF_v1.zip" package is full compatible with FS2K2 and it contains sound, NEW (made by the author) panel, the official checklist (by Northrop) and a VERY completed flight manual which can be read with Adobe Acrobat. This repaint was based on the original model made by Denis da Silva [email protected] & Daniel da Silva [email protected]. Using my 1800 hrs flight experience as a former F-5 pilot, I create (starting by "zero"...) a flight model ("air" file and aircraft.cfg file) and I test it to the limits to be sure that it flies like the real one and I can guarantee that! This "F-5A_HAF_v1.zip" package is for EXPERIENCED FlightSimers and virtual pilots who have a "good feeling" on the stick and do not fight with the contol stick while flying...Other words it is for people who want to know how the F-5A is realy flying!! The package contains new visual effects, night lighting and the best looking mechanical parts movement, realistic gears extracting / retracting etc.

52F North West Regional Airport (DFW TX) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This airport scenery does not require any other software other than Microsoft Flight Sim X SP1 (minimum) - SP2 required for mission and display of some of the scenery items. However, it could help with performance on your PC if you install any accurate photo scenery for DFW. One such scenery is MEGASCENERY DFW photo scenery from http://www.megascenery.com/. This is a custom developed scenery for airport, 52F - Northwest Regional, Roanoke, TX. 52F is next to Fort Worth Alliance in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. It's a nice little airport. This scenery package also includes a Mission called "52Foxtrot - Approach to Rwy 35 - Thermals". It is more of a free flight than the traditional FSX missions. The ones who fly for real at 52F-Northwest regional knows the quirks when coming into land at runway 35 on a hot day. The thermals at the cleared land and the sinking feeling when flying over the wooded area nearing the approach to 35. These thermal lifts and sinks have been modeled here. However, the only way to experience these thermals in FSX is via Missions. Once you select the mission "52Foxtrot - Approach to Rwy 35 - Thermals" and by selecting option "Enable changes in selected Mission", you could fly around like you would under "free flight". Except this time, you would have these thermal effects around 52F and get to experience what it's really like to fly and land at 52F.

PJEZFSX Download

File Description:
PETER JAMES' EZCAM .CAM FILES AS OF 3-25-10. I have made some great cams to share based on the new Flight1 EZDOK software. Installation is a snap. Just copy these into your EZDOK root directory and you're ready to go! As a real commercial pilot with over 7500 hours flying time, I can assure you these cams give you the most realistic virtual cockpit views possible. I base this on proper seat position, as well as a zoom level I have been fiddling with since the beginning of FSX. I have here cams for the A319 by Project Airbus, the Default A321, default Beaver, the 739 by Ariane, the LDS 767-300ER, and the great free biplane (Tigermoth) by ORBIX ...Whether you own the two payware products or not does not matter. These cams will work well on any similar aircraft. Just use the EZDOK interface to import these cams, and then you can edit them for any plane you want. The real thing I did was take the default cams that came with EZDOK and dampen out the touchdown head wobble...but that's about it. I am still learning all the tweaks available with vibrational effects, but have gotten good at setting up 9 viewpoints for each virtual cockpit included... when you run the EZDOK interface you'll see the titles and number key for each position. Enjoy! Peter James / [email protected]

Ireland VFR Small Airports part 1 Download

File Description:
Ireland VFR Small Airports Part 1. This scenery includes 5 small airports in Ireland. EIDL Donegal is in the far North West, EIAB Abbeyshrule is located in the centre of Ireland. EIKL Kilkenny is located in the South East and Newcastle can be found on the East coast. EITM is a small grass strip to the north West of Dublin. Donegal and Abbeyshrule have paved runways whilst the others consist of small grass strips. The scenery includes animals, vegetation and rural objects. It also includes sound effects, animations, some high definition people, and aircraft painted using real Irish aircraft photos. Many of the airports include open hangers and buildings modelled from real photographs. Although Donegal is the only one with ILS, full night textures are included for all the airports. Many of the files are stand alone and can be switched on or off according to user preference. The scenery can be used as a standalone, however it also uses objects from my other scenery addons. The scenery has been tested with FSXA only and is designed to complement vfr photographic scenery. It will also work with the FSX default terrain, however all objects have been placed using ordinance survey data and may therefore appear misplaced in the default. Full installation instructions are included in the Readme file. I hope you enjoy using the airports as much as I enjoyed making them.

McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II (Version 2) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II (Version 2). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and some of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This revised model set is what I originally envisioned when I undertook the modification of Nick Black's F-4E source files. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early, middle, and late F-4B base models; as well as the QF-4B with its NOLO (No Live Operator) drone configuration. The four main aircraft variants include a total of 27 loadout options, and 68 repaints representing these aircraft in service with the US Navy and United States Marine Corps. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for repainters. While I did not paint every squadron from every cruise or time period, I believe there is a nice spread of representation in this package. This project properly updates my comprehensive (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.
