This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DZ546, a B Mk.IV that flew with No.618 Squadron in the summer of 1945. It was built in early 1943 and allocated to 618 Squadron. It was converted for 'Highball' missions in 1944. Highball was the codename of special spherical bouncing bombs to be used for antishipping attacks. The conversion included Merlin 24 motors, a four bladed prop, an arrester hook, new windscreen and armour plating. With the collapse of the German threat, 618 was transferred to Australia in october 1944, but no suitable role was found for the squadron, which was disbanded at RAAF Narromine in july 1945.
The Mosquitos were later sold and DZ546 was bought by Ken & Rob Bowman of Dunedoo, who dismantled it with the help of a chainsaw. Parts of the aircraft are currently being used in the restoration of a Mosquito in New Zealand. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Dave Garwood.

File Description:
Corpus Christi, Texas, located on the Gulf of Mexico is a major aviation center with Naval Aviation headquartered here and home to an Army major depot that supports all tri-service rotor wing aircraft. While these activities are based in and around the town there is significant transient military traffic at KCRP along side commercial carrier service by AAL, SWA and UAL to KDFW, KHOU and KIAH. The airport has just completed a major upgrade to both runways (renumbered from default FSX/P3D scenery) and all taxi surfaces. This scenery was constructed with ADEv1.70 targeted for P3D; however, it works as well in FSX. All runway and ILS data has been 'as-built' in accordance with FAA NASD data with extensive use of hand-placed ground polys for taxi markings. I have omitted surrounding landclass modifications for a best fit with Orbx FTX Global OpenLC North America product.

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47A 42-92847 3X-W "That's All, Brother!"of the 438th TCG, based in Greenham Common, England. It was the aircraft that was the lead plane with the parachute droppings on the night of D-Day, dropping men of 502nd PIR of the 101st Airborne Division arond 00:48. It then returned to Greenham Common and later that day pulled a glider to Normandy to reinforce the 82nd Airborne Division. Later it evacuated wounded from France, took part in Operation Market Garden, flew supplies to Bastogne, took part in Operation Varsity, before returning to the US in 1945. It passed through the hands of several private owners, is rumoured to have flwon for the CIA, and was restored as an AC-47 gunship by the Aero heritage Museum in 2004.. In 2008 it went to Basler for conversion to a turboprop BT-67, when somebody recognised the significance of this aircraft. A kickstarter campaign secured the purchase by the Commemorative Air Force, who are planning to restore her to her D-Day configuration.
