This is a repaint of the L-188 Electra by Libardo Guzman in American Flyers Airline livery. The L-188 (base file) by Libardo Guzman is needed for this repaint.
AFA was one of the oldest supplemental (charter) airlines based in Fort Worth, USA. The airline was founded by Reed Pigman in 1939, and started operations with a 5 seater Spartan 'Executive'. In 1951 AFA became the first charter airline to operate CAM (domestic trooping) operations. Sadly, Reed Pigman died in an L-188 crash in April 1966 while transporting over 80 military recruits. This was due to him having a heart attack at the controls. Consequently the plane lost control and crashed. All aboard perished. The airline continued to be run by his wife, before being taken over by Universal Airlines in 1971, which was itself absorbed by Saturn Airlines in 1972. Textures are DXT3.

Features include fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, animated thrust reversers, rolling wheels, opening door, fully reflective textures (each part has different degree of reflection based on material), virtual cockpit, reflective cabin windows, reflective cockpit windows, window shades, 3D pilots, 3D cabin interior, 3D passengers, accurate flight dynamics (accurate FDE with full profiles for wheels, tires, struts, engine types ... Tested by real pilots), flaperons, detailed textures, full night lighting (including cabin and cockpit lights), visible landing lights from the 2D and the virtual cockpit, crash effects, transparent navigation light lenses. Sioux Falls Aviation (Daedalus Inc) operates out of the Encore FBO at Sioux Falls - Joe Foss Field in South Dakota to destinations throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota as a feeder service for both DHL and UPS. They operate 22 aircraft including 10 Fairchild Metroliners, 8 Cessna 402Bs, 2 Cessna 414As, one Cessna 404, and one C90. Flights taken from FlightAware for the week of 11-17 April, 2010. DHL flights are NOT included as they are included in the AIG DHL package. Note: If you are using either the Ultimate GA Cessna 402 or World of AI Cessna 402 package, you must decompile the bgl file and remove the flightplans for N1048, N402BP (Sold as salvage on 3-31-10 after crash), N780MB, N3796C, N402SS, N3813, N3729C, N624CA, & N76MD. These aircraft are depicted using "Generic" liveries in the UGA and WoAI packages.
