Douglas DC-3 Buffalo Airways (2)

File Description:
Two Buffalo Airways DC-3s accurately rendered in cargo and passenger versions, with dedicated DC-3 panel. Both these aircraft are in service today, operating out of Hay River and Yellowknife, Canada. C-GPNR was acquired in October of 1980 and is Buffalo's most commonly used DC-3 for scheduled freight service. The distinctive C-GWIR joined the fleet in 1981. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, these models include transparent cabin windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening cargo doors/pax door, boarding ladder, cargo both inside and outside the aircraft (freight version) and other details. Flight Dynamics are by Erik Ellis, Jan Visser, Roy Chaffin, Ian Ropper, & Bill Rambow. Includes FS2002 lights fix by Paul Pridmore. Paintwork and Buffalo Airways panel by Mark Beaumont. File Description:
Requires DC3BUFFA.ZIP to be installed first. A new DC-3 aircraft, C-FLFR, in passenger configuration. Updated textures for C-GPNR (cargo), minor texture updates for C-GWIR (pax), landclass files and enhanced airport scenery for both Hay River and Yellowknife, including an AFCAD file for CYZF; plus, the medivac airstrip of Pine Point, between Hay River and Fort Resolution. Also recommended: panel update DC3BUFF2.ZIP. Aircraft textures by Mark Beaumont based on Jan Visser's originals, all other improvements by Curt Yardey.

South Pacific Airlines of New Zealand (SPANZ) operated from December 1960 to February 1966, providing services on a range of routes nationwide. Formed by two ex-NAC Captains, the airline operated three of its own aircraft, of which ZK-BYD 'Ernest Rutherford' (c/n 13906) was one. N131FS (C-47B-DK, 32920) of Four Star Aviation, St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, flies regular cargo services in the Caribbean. Four Star Air Cargo is the only scheduled, all cargo airline directly linking the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, San Juan, and Miami. Regular intineraries are between San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola: FS2002 flight plans are included in this package. File Description:
VH-ABR is offered here both in her current Ansett Airways livery, as of 1996, and earlier Australian National Airways colours. The aircraft, having been restored by Ansett staff and volunteers, is in wonderful condition today considering that she was originally delivered to ANA in 1938. She flies from Melbourne-Tullamarine, Victoria, Australia and is operated by the Ansett Historical Aviation Group. Douglas DC-3 Mandated Airlines VH-MAL

File Description:
This aircraft was previously 'Betsy', the founding aircraft of Cathay Pacific Airways. Here she is in the colours of Mandated Air Lines of Papua New Guinea, registration VH-MAL, 1955-1963. The thumbnail shows her as at 15 September 1960, when her co-pilot mistook the Captain's raised thumb on the starboard throttle as a signal to raise the gear. She came to an inglorious halt 2,700 feet from the start of her take-off run, severely damaged, but after repairs flew for many more years. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, this model includes transparent cabin windows, nightlighting, lit 3D interior with opening passenger door, boarding ladder and other details. Douglas DC-3 'DC-3 Airways' Bare Metal Versions

File Description:
These are official repaints for the virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' and are intended primarily for use by 'DC-3 Airways' pilots. Visit 'DC-3 Airways' at www.dc3airways.com to learn more. This 1940's scheme is designed to be typical of the simple, yet stylish liveries that adorned the bare metal fuselages of pre and post WW-II civilian aircraft. This download includes two versions; a civilian-built DC-3 with Wright Cyclone engines and a C-47 conversion in cargo configuration powered by Pratt & Whitneys. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, both models include transparent cabin windows, nightlighting and a 3D interior. The passenger aircraft has a folding stair door and appropriate cabin; the cargo version has double doors and DC-3 Airways cargo both inside and outside the aircraft (at rest).
