File Description:
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was one of the most prominent fighters throughout WWII in both major theaters of operation. P-38s scored some of the first victories in the Pacific Theater. In Europe, they often provided high-altitude long range escorts for bombers. A P-38 was captured by the Italians on 12th June 1943 after a mistaken landing in Capoterra airport (Cagliari, Sardinia). After a while, with 'Regia Aeronautica's insignas (Royal Italian Air Force), it was flown by Colonel Angelo Tondi in a fighter mission over Torvajanica (Rome), where a B-24 was shotted down. The aircraft was finally grounded due to the damages caused by Italian fuel to the tanks.Textures only in 'Regia Aeronautica' livery for payware 'Sky Unlimited Lockheed Aircraft P38 Vol.1'. | Major Tommy McGuire's P-38L "Pudgy V" |

File Description:
This skin is the Lockheed P-38L Lightning "Pudgy V" of Major Thomas B McGuire, Jr, of the 431st Fighter Squadron based at Dulag, on the island of Leyte in the Phillipines, December 1944. McGuire scored a total of 38 victories before he was killed in combat early in 1945.
Thanks to WOLF257 for creating the P-38, Geo for helping with the decals, and Bunyip whose skin I used to help me find my way around the bmp.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the MIlviz P-38L, representing A55-1 of the RAAF, 1943. In order to meet an urgent RAAF requirement for photographic reconnaissance, three P-38Es were transferred from the USAAF for service with No 1 PRU. The first Lightning, A55-1, depicted here, was received on August 31 1942, and operated successfully until it was written-off in a landing accident on August 2 1944 at Coomallie Strip. The second aircraft, A55-2 had a less spectacular career and operated only between 4 Sep 42 and 18 Dec 42, and was phased out of service on the latter date. The third Lightning, A55-3 was received from the USAAF at Eagle Farm on February 27 1943 and operated throughout the year until it was written-off in a wheels-up landing on December 10 1943.
The aircraft of this repaint, A55-1 was originally F-4-1-LO serial 41-2158. I have found pictures of it in camouflage paint as well as in bare metal, and it is the latter that I have depicted. It shows 59 mission markings on the picture taken at Coomalie Creek, which I assume was late in its career with the RAAF.
Although the original was a P-38E/F-4 and the Milviz model is a P-38L, I thought people would still like this repaint. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.

File Description:
Here are some flightplans to be used with Ray Parker's Aero Union fire fighter P-3 available here on Avsim (check readme for the link). The 10 aircrafts are based at Chico, CA (KCIC). I used RPP FP Gen v1.0 and the flightplans cover different airports in South-Western USA (according to what I've seen on Airliners.net).
Keep in mind that this is just something to see the aircrafts in the sim and not aiming at extreme realism, to be used until someone makes something more decent.
Also included is a simple Afcad 2 file for the default KCIC.
