Newcastle EGNT

File Description:

Republic P-47D-22 404th FG (Y8-W) "Fighting Gator"

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22 42-26046 Y8-W "Fighting Gator" as flown by Lt. Fred Varn of the 507th FS/ 404th FG. It was a Republic Employee donated P47 that completed 200 missions without a technical abort and was retired from operational duties at a service conducted by the Group Commander. The aircraft was painted with the Republic Employee donated plaque and the ribbons of the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and the Purple Heart. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

Republic P-47D-22 365th FG (B4-A) "Sweet Sue"

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-26267 B4-A "Sweet Sue", the assigned aircraft of Captain Julius 'Jack' Almond, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG. He was one of three pilots of the 387th that tested an electric bomb release, developed by the 387th's chief armorer, Sgt Joseph Piantino. They tested it for three months and found that it not only gave better accuracy, but was also easier to maintain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

RAF Metheringham - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England

File Description:
RAF Metheringham was a Royal Air Force station situated between the villages of Metheringham and Martin and 12.1 mi (19.5 km) south east of the county town Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. Third party addons will be required - see Readme.txt file for details. Operated as a bomber airfield during World War II the station opened in October 1943 and was decommissioned in the spring of 1946. Although now mostly returned to agricultural and commercial uses the site retains one original runway, the eastern perimeter track and some contemporary buildings together with a No. 106 Squadron RAF memorial garden and a visitor centre. File Description:
Well here it is The Hammerhead/ Space dock, I would like to thank Brian Burger and Kyle Weigers for giving me Their kind permission to make this package and to Martin Schweiger for creating Orbiter and making all this possible. Brian Burger's Hammerhead station V2 is included and must be installed if you don't already have it! Kyle Weiger's Star Fleet Museum is included because I'm a Trekker and proud of it!! lol The only modifications made were to space dock, it's about half the size of the original and I have added a couple of docking ports

Douglas A-4C Skyhawk 'VA-34 Blue Blasters' USS Intrepid 1967

File Description:
This is a repaint of RAZBAM's excellent A-4C. These textures represent an A-4C of VA-34, Blue Blasters, on board the USS Intrepid in 1967. In the real world on July 9, 1967 this aircraft was shot down by a North Vietnamese Surface to Air Missile. The pilot, Lieutenant Commander E. A. Martin, successfully ejected, was captured and made Prisoner of War. On June 1, 1969, Attack Squadron THIRTY FOUR disestablished. On January 1, 1970, Attack Squadron THIRTY FOUR (VA-34) re-established THESE ARE TEXTURES ONLY! You need the RAZBAM "The Skyhawks Volume 1" payware package.
