| Branson Airport KBBG--New Airport, Scenery, and Flight Plans |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This project adds a new Branson Airport KBBG (Missouri) to FS 2004, which opened in May 2009, and is a privately developed commercial airport. The construction of the airport, which involved the flattening of several Ozark Mountains, is claimed to be the largest earthmoving project in Missouri history. As a result, the airport actually sits on a manmade plateau, surrounded by rolling hills. The airport uses the ICAO identifier BBG, however, the airlines use the IATA code BKG. The airport is served by AirTran, Frontier, and ExpressJet (Branson AirExpress), and is located in hilly terrain. Aircraft equipped with a terrain avoidance warning system may experience system activation on final approach. AFCAD created using Airport Design Editor 9 v1.47.07, and the hilltops were cleared and flattened and roads were added using SBuilder 2.05 revision 06. The terminal and hangar were added and modified from within Airport Design Editor 9. This airport is based on my more detailed FSX version, Branson_Airport_Project.zip.

| Binghamton Airport |
|
File Description:
FS2004 Scenery - Greater Binghamton Airport (IATA: BGM, ICAO: KBGM) is a medium-sized regional airport located in Maine, New York that serves the Southern Tier of New York, primarily Broome and Tioga counties. The airport was originally named Broome County Airport and that name remained through the 1970s. It was later renamed to honor the inventor of the aircraft instrument simulator, the Link Trainer, as Edwin A. Link Field-Broome County Airport, a name it kept until the 1990s when it was again renamed to the Binghamton Regional Airport. The name Greater Binghamton Airport was chosen in 2003 to match the area's new marketing campaign under a unified name. The field on which the airport lies is still named in Link's honor. File Description:
FSX AFCAD File For OMDW, Dubai World Central Airport. Dubai World Central Airport is a new airport that opened in June 2010. Therefore it is not present in FSX by default. Expect from the 13/14 winter schedules that passenger flights will be commenced. Until that there are only a handful of cargo flights. This will cause the airport to be empty until AI traffic starts to fly to this airport. Bonus added is a simple rendering of OMDM Al Minhad AB nearby.
