This is a photo-real livery and sound update for David Starling's L-188 Electra for X-plane, which you must download before using this skin. I've flown this in XP-9 and XP-10 with no problems.
This is an L-188-CF that Reeve Aluetian used to fly.

This file updates the panel configuration file for Chris Buff's Gmax L-188 Electras and provides cockpit bitmaps since there is no virtual cockpit in the model. Lockheed L-749A (c/n 2504) "VH-EAF" belonging to Qantas. It was sold by Air India to Qantas in 1951 and named "Horace Brimsmead" after a pinoeer of Australian civil aviation. Based on original textures by Manfred Jahn, this texture set requires the great Lockheed L-749 Constellation Base Pack available in the Avsim file library (lockheed749.zip). Installation instructions are included.

This packet contains a repaint of the Lockheed L-749 Constellation of Qantas Empire Airways. c/n 2565 VH-EAB 'Lawrence Hargrave' was acquired by Qantas on 22 October 1947 and served until it was disposed of to BOAC on 26 February 1955. Textures only, to be used with the freeware L-749 from Manfred Jahn (available from AVSIM: 'lockheed749.zip').

Repaint from Dave McQueen of the L749 Constellation for FS2004 by the team of Manfred Jahn and Co (Team 749). Textures only.
The original aircraft is available at the usual flight sim download sites. Textures only. IMPORTANT: The FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-749 Constellation Base Kit (lockheed749.zip) must be installed.

File Description:
This is a repaint of the L-188 in Pacific Western Airlines colors. The freeware L-188 by Libardo Guzman is needed for this repaint. PWA operated a total of 4 L-188s from 1971 to 1976. This aircraft is the most intersting of the four. They nicknamed it the "Silver Bullet". It was a fuel tanker and was used to support the arctic oil exploration projects. It was unique in that fuel tankers were rare and this aircraft had the name and logo painted over the shiny unpainted aircraft.
I have included DXT3 textures, which will enable the FS2004 users to fly this plane. Just copy the DXT3 textures in the enclosed folder, then paste them into the main L-188 folder, overwriting the files there.
This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX boxed & FS 2004.
