Tips and Tricks for FS2004 - An INDEX. This is an index in Excel format (xls) of the popular Tips and Tricks series compiled by David "Opa" Marshall, parts 1 thru 11. The index may be "searched" and "sorted" to display the information you desire. A short guide in .doc format is included to assist those who may not be familiar with Excel. Requires Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet program), which is a part of the Microsoft Office Suite. When the Tips and Tricks series resumes in the Fall of 2005, we anticipate including an updated copy of this Index with each issue. | TBD-1 Devastator MIDWAY T-16 for The B24 Guy's OH |

File Description:
TBD-1 Devastator MIDWAY T-16, June 1942. For the B24 Guy's Overhaul Model. The make-up of this skin was possible through viewing a photo of the "T-16" (BuNo 1506) of the Torpedo Squadron Eight, that was taken on the launching deck of the USS Hornet (VT-8) on June 4, 1942. This aircraft was the last of the Torpedo Eight's TBDs to lift off the deck of the USS Hornet, that day, and was flown by LCDR John C. Waldron with Horace Franklin Dobbs, CRMP, in the rear seat. All of the 15 TBDs that were launched in this group found their target -- the IJN's Kaga, but even with their success, all were shot down. Enjoy!

| USAAF B-24H "Little Warrior" 493rd BG 8th AAF |

File Description:
This B-24H-20-FO 42-94812 was produced at the Ford Company's Willow Run plant. It was assigned to the 861st Bomb Sqdn, 493rd Bomb Group, 8th AAF, flying out of Debach, England. On 29 Jun 1944 the 2Lt John H Hansen flew this aircraft on a mission to Quakenbruk, Germany. When flak punctured the fuel transfer system in the bomb bay, "Little Warrior" instantly turned into a fiery blow torch before blowing up over Fallersleben, Germany. All the crew perished. I offer this repaint as a memorial to all those airmen who met with sudden death in the skies of WWII. Textures only, requires the original PAYWARE Alpha-Sim aircraft.

FSX supports light bloom, but the effect reduces framerates. In 2008, Boris Vorontsov developed a small freeware plugin, ENBSeries, which produces a similar effect, with little or no effect on framerates. This plugin has been discussed extensively on AVSIM and other flight sim forums. The purpose of this package is (a) to help distribute Vorontsov's plugin and (b) to make it easy for flight simmers to get started and enjoy what Vorontsov has given us. The trickiest part of (b) is adjusting the various parameters for Flight Simluator. You're welcome to play with this yourself, but most people are going to be happy with the settings provided here, courtesy of Orbx founder John "Koorby" Venema.

Tips and Tricks Number 19 - February 2006 Edition. This issue includes several solutions to common problems as well as links to some interesting sites. Included is the popular "From the E-Mail Bag" department which answers a question of general interest. Of special interest is an EXCLUSIVE BONUS file prepared just for readers of this series - you will not find this anywhere else! An updated index by John Burford for the entire series in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format is included. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Please unzip to a temporary location using the folders option. Wilmington International Airport for FS9
John B. Loney, Ray Lunning and Michael Verlin
This Airport started out to be a simple stand alone rendering of the public terminal at KILM. Michael and I entered into a correspondence about this when it became evident that Ray Lunning had designed KILM as a complete airport in 2007. This ended in a collaboration by the three authors. Ray Lunning graciously agreed to allow the use of his original files. Michael Verlin contributed additional input and testing to complete the integration of the various components.
As usual, I welcome any comments. I will try to answer as many as I can.

File Description:
Thank you for downloading my scenery. This is an update to the default Spokane Int'l airport. All default buildings have been removed and replaced. The terminals have been modeled according to sat photos and are close to photoreal. The included AFCAD has accurate parking and has the new parallel taxiways in place as well as all taxiway signs.
This scenery was built using Abacus' EZ-Scenery program.
Update:
The Cargo ramp has been redesigned to be more accurate. Due to a lack of information, Version 1 did not have buildings or airlines accurately placed. With the arrival of detailed accounts from a user, John S. Morgan, parking positions and building placement have been corrected.
