On Mark A-26 Marksman

File Description:
Utilizing the WWII A-26 airframe, the On Mark comapny of Van Nuys, California began converting Invaders to executive transports following WWII with their first examples designated the Marketeer. The epitome of comfort for the executive air traveller was found however in the further developed Marksman. The Marksman featured a significantly re-manufactured fuselage incorporating full pressurisation and a radical modification allowing a substantial increase in internal cabin space. All Marksmans featured the addition of wing tip fuel tanks as well as increased tail surface dimensions to compensate for the higher power engines offered in various models. Out of approximately sixty Invader airframes modified for civilian use by On Mark, only about a dozen were full Marksman conversions. For all effects, gauges, and the excellent A-26 sound package by David Copley, the original SOH A-26 Invader is required to be installed before installation of this aircraft. Included in this package: model by Milton Shupe with Marksman modifications by John Terrell, textures by John Terrell, 2D panel and gauges by Rich Murray, flight dynamics by Jerry Beckwith and Tom Falley, pilot figures by Jan Visser.

B-26K (A-26A) Counter-Invader

File Description:
In the early 1960's, meeting the need for a "counter-insurgency" aircraft, the USAF chosen On Mark Engineering Company of Van Nuys, California proposed the following major modifications to the already existing B-26 airframe: a complete remanufacture of the fuselage and tail assembly, an enlarged rudder, rebuilt and strengthened wings, re-engining with 2,500 hp P&W R-2800-52W engines, larger, fully reversible propellers with automatic feathering and clipped tips, full dual flight controls, two 165 gallon wing tip tanks, a full compliment of airborne electronics and more. This new aircraft was first delivered to the USAF in June of 1964 under the designation B-26K. Later aircraft had their cowlings revised with the air scoop being relocated further back on the cowl. By April of 1965, all forty B-26K Counter-Invaders had been delivered to the USAF. For all effects, gauges, and the excellent A-26 sound package by David Copley, the original SOH A-26 Invader is required to be installed before installation of this aircraft. Included in this package: model by Milton Shupe with K model modifications by John Terrell, textures by Russel Smith, Henry William, and John Terrell, 2D panel and gauges by Rich Murray, flight dynamics by Jerry Beckwith and Tom Falley modified by John Terrell, pilot figures by Jan Visser. A special thanks goes out to Milton Shupe who generously provided me the original source model to work with as well as a great amount of help whenever I ran into a tough spot. SPJJ Jauja, Peru

File Description:
Googlyafcad A&F Data file for SPJJ Jauja, Peru, based on Google Earth satellite data. Unfortunately, Microsoft have provided no facilities in Flight Simulator 2004 at this small domestic airport in Peru, which sees occasional passenger flights from domestic operator L C Busre along with, possibly, other operators of small aircraft - although information is hard to find. The satellite data currently available for this area is of very poor quality, so accuracy cannot be guaranteed but it is believed to be reasonably correct.

Boeing B-17G "Sally B" G-BEDF

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the FSX Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, in the markings of "Sally B", the UK's last remaining airworthy B-17. One of the last Flying Fortress built at the Lockheed-Vega plant in Burbank, California, this aircraft was delivered new to the USAAF on June 19, 1945. Later, it was operated as a mapping surveyor in France before being brought to England in March 1975. In 1982, Ted White, the man who was responsible for bringing the aircraft to England, was tragically killed when his Harvard crashed at an air rally in Malta. In memory of Ted White, the inner starboard cowling will always be painted in yellow and black checkers, the same way Ted White's Harvard cowling was painted. For the past 31 years, "Sally B" has continued to fly, under the leadership of Elly Sallingboe and with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers. In 1990, "Sally B" played lead role in the movie "Memphis Belle," and continues to wear the same scheme she did during filming, with the exception of the Sally B nose art and checkered cowling.

P-51D Mustang "Double Trouble Two" N51EA

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft was restored in the early 1980's as "Double Trouble Two", an aircraft of the 353rd Fighter Group, by Don Davidson. In the early 1990's the aircraft was purchased by Max Vogelsang/Swiss Warbirds, and it was operated out of Switzerland for several years. In 2004 the aircraft was purchased by Jerry Yagen for his Fighter Factory of Suffolk, Virginia where it now flies regularly.

Boeing B-17G "Fuddy Duddy" N9563Z

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the FSX Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, in the markings of "Fuddy Duddy," N9563Z. This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF as 44-83563, and served as a VB-17G VIP transport following WWII. It operated as a fire fighting Tanker, C24, for Aviation Specialties and Tanker 89 for Globe Air. The aircraft appeared in the movies The War Lover and Tora, Tora, Tora. Purchased in 1985 by the National Warplane Museum/Wings of Eagles of Geneseo, New York, the aircraft was restored back to WWII configuration and painted as "Fuddy Duddy." The aircraft has more recently been purchased by Martin Aviation of Orange County, California, where it now resides.

Curtiss P-47G "Little Demon" G-CDVX

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the WOP P-47 Thunderbolt, in the markings of P-47G "Little Demon." This aircraft was built by Curtiss in 1943, and served originally with the USAAF as 42-25068. The aircraft was first restored between 1979 and 1982 by Ray Stutsman, who painted the aircraft as "Little Demon," a 78th Fighter Group, 82nd Fighter Squadron Thunderbolt. The aircraft was later sold to Robert L. Waltrip/Lone Star Flight Museum where it was kept for some time then was sold to David Arnold/Flying A Services of the UK in 1996 where it was put into storage. In 2006 the aircraft was obtained by The Fighter Collection, Duxford, replacing their P-47D No Guts No Glory. The aircraft is currently undergoing some restoration work at Fighter Rebuilders, Chino, California, and is scheduled to be at the Flying Legends air show, Duxford, this summer.
