Hawaiian Air 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Hawaiian Air was a shell of itself in the Transpacific market in 1998 compared to today, while it was fiercely competing with Aloha Airlines in the intra-Hawaii market. DC-10-10s preformed all Long Haul flights as well as those to the USA, while a fleet of DC-9-50s competed with Aloha between the islands. At the time, all flights from OGG to the mainland actually originated in Honolulu and made a stop in Maui in each direction on which no tickets were sold between HNL\OGG. LAX was used as a stop over point as well for flights between HNL\OGG and LAS. All mainland flights from HNL were daily while flights to other destinations in the Pacific and between the mainland and OGG were operated only a few days per week. HNL-LAX was the busiest route for the DC-10, with 3 daily flights. The MD-80s, other DC-9 variants, and the DHC-7s were gone by 1998, but the DC-9-50s still served the smaller airports of LNY and MKK(even with some very short flights between the two) at the time which were soon after abandoned until Ohana by Hawaiian was launched in recent years with ATR-42s. Itapemirim Cargo 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Itapemirim Cargo flew brightly painted 727s across Brazil and up to Mexico from 1991-2000. These plans are representative and valid for most of the airlines years of operation. As such, they have been included separately to fit into whatever part of the 1990s you wish to use, as the Caravan operation was very short lived and separate. Asiana Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Asiana and Korean Air had full control of the Korean domestic market in 1998 as South Korea's only 2 scheduled airlines, making them appear at the vast majority of Korean airports. 737-500s were exiting the fleet, with only 3 remaining, and the first A321 had just come online. International routes were flown by 747-400 Combis or 767-300s, with several "tag on" routes onward from Seoul. Asiana served many commercial airports in Japan with 737-400s at the time, and is an important part of the Japanese traffic as well. The carrier had 2 737-500s and it's first A321 painted in a special "Experimental Color Scheme"(EC), and this is represented in the flightplans. One 737-500 also remained in a slightly different older livery dubbed as the "1994" colors, while the rest of the fleet had been modified to the "1998" colors. As a BONUS, ranmori has painted the 747-400, 747-400M and 737-400 in the 1994 livery for use with those flightplans, though there is no use for them in these 1998 plans. Repaints included for the FAIB 737-400, 737-500, 767-300, 747-400, and A321. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe, flightplans done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. China Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
China Airlines had almost completely repainted the fleet by 1998, in these flightplans there is only 1 A300s left in the old livery. China Airlines rushed the repaint of their fleet as the Taiwanese flag on the old colors was not allowed in HKG after the 1997 hand over from England making Hong Kong a Chinese Territory. As such, the old colors were gone by 1998. The 737-400s were still very much active, but were very near the end of their lives with China Airlines retired by 1999 or so. The 737-400s do some regional international routes, and also high frequency KHH-TSA flights and a few TPE-KHH flights. Only 2 747-200s left, mostly flying to HND, and the A300-600R is the backbone of the fleet with a handful of A300B4s still flying. The 747SPs all were at Mandarin by 1998. At this time, and Mandarin aircraft often subbed for China Airlines 747-400s and MD-11s using the "DYNASTY" callsign. I have included an MD-11 in Mandarin colors operating China Airlines flights, I recommend you make a separate aircraft.cfg entry for the Mandarin MD-11 aircraft with the "DYNASTY" callsign and "CAL" parking code for realism. Repaints by Ranmori Scythe for the FAIB 737-400, 747-200, 747-400, FSPX MD-11, and TFS A300B4 and A300-600R are included. As a bonus, textures are also included for the FAIB 737-800(which entered the fleet in 1999) and the old colors on the FAIB 747-400(discontinued by 1997). Feel free to use the 737-400 instead of the 737-800 if you wish. All repaints were done by the very talented Ranmori Scythe and flightplans were done by the not-so-talented Chasen Richardson. EVA Air 1998 AI Package

File Description:
EVA was growing quickly in 1998, focusing on international routes and leaving most of the domestic flying to its subsidiary, Uni Air. The MD-90s were very quickly transferred to Uni Air by late 1998, so these plans represent a rare time with a pair of MD-90s in the old EVA Air colors. EVA had amassed a decent fleet of 747s by 1998 and was even flying a KHH-LAX route several times weekly. Most MD-11s were already flying for EVA Cargo, and the 3 pax MD-11s remaining had the "ANK EVA" partnership logo. Korean Air 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Korean Air was one of only 2 airlines doing domestic Korean flights in 1998, with Korean Air having a much larger market share than Asiana and extensively flying the A300s on many domestic routes. By 1998, Korean Air had converted(to a freighter) or retired most of the 747-200s, 747-300s, MD-11s and A300B4s, but they were still in the fleet in very small numbers. The A330-300 and 777-200 were also starting to join the fleet very slowly with a few examples of each. The MD-80s and Fokker 100s were being used in decent numbers on both domestic flights and flights to Japan and China. The 747SPs were active but only picked up flying as spare airplanes, so they mostly sit in GMP but during the week do GMP-SFO-DEN, GMP-NRT-LAX-GMP, and GMP-HKG flights taken from 747-400s. As is the case with some of these plans, to upkeep 100% of the OAG flight schedule using the limitations of AI in flight simulator, there are a few extra planes(4x MD-80 and 1x Fokker 100) in these plans with fake registration numbers. The user may decided if they'd rather see all real life flights or the real amount of aircraft. Ranmori has painted a 727-200 as a bonus, and I gave these extra 4 MD-80s registration numbers from 727s and segregated them from the flightplans in case you wish to use the 727, but in real life it was retired in late 1996. Note that these plans and all 1998 plans use the Seoul-Gimpo airport(GMP/RKSS) as Incheon(ICN/RKSI) did not open until 2001. Textures by Ranmori Scythe for the AIA MD-80, Fokker 100, FAIB 747-200, 747-300, 747-400, 747SP FSPX 777-200, A330-300, MD-11, TFS A300B4 and A300-600R along with the AIA 727-200 bonus included. Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package

File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Yana Airlines 1999 AI Package

File Description:
Yana Airlines was a short-lived Cambodian Airline which started up at the start of 1999 to connect Phenom Phen with Singapore, Indonesia and China with a pair of IL-62Ms. The airline quickly lost money, and a group of Australian business men re-organized the carrier in 2002 after the fall lof Royal Air Cambodge to attempt to gain that carriers lost market share. They were unsuccessful and the airline shut down on 16OCT2003. Note that this airline served Guangzhou(ZGGG) which was using the old airport at the time which closed in 2003, and flights are assigned ZGGX to use that old airport, so you'll need to change them if you wish to use the current airport(for which a 1998 scenery will be released in the coming months). GTI Airlines 1998 AI Package

File Description:
The Turkish charter airline 'GTI Airlines' was formed in 1996 by the travel organisations Kayi Tours from Turkey and German Travel International. The airline offered charters both from Germany and other nations to Turkish resort cities and from large turkish cities to other holiday destinations. In february 1998 the airline was sold and renamed Air Anatolia. GTI Airlines flew an "all-widebody"-fleet of only three Airbus A300 aircraft: one B2 and two B4s. The first A300 was delivered to the airline in 1996, the other two followed in 1997. Fleet repaints for the TFS A300B2\B4 GE by Chasen Richardson are included, including how the aircraft looked in 1997 in case you plan to have different traffic periods in your sim or otherwise to pick which you prefer using.
